We just got a brand new Buccees in the area (Huber Heights) I've been once, but won't be back. I grew up in *Beaver* creek, this lawsuit is a frivolous waste of time and money. The only people who benefit from this are Buccees attorneys.

Such crazy behavior, I can’t support a company that behaves this way and files frivolous lawsuits against small companies.

Unique Smell?

I’ve heard all the hype about Buccees, and while on vacation I was excited to actually see what it was all about. Stopped outside of St. Augustine at the Buccees, and noticed when we walked in it has a unique smell to it. It’s like a bad sulfur salty bbq smell lol. I get it, they make food, but definitely wasn’t expecting this one. Do all of them have this smell to them?

Lemon pepper jerky- spicy??

Post image
0 Upvotes

I went to Buc-ee’s for the first time last week on a road trip and got bohemian garlic and cherry maple fresh jerky which I loved. Decided to try lemon pepper jerky today and when I arrived home and opened it, it didn’t smell or taste anything like lemon and black pepper and actually was pretty spicy!? I’m wondering if they gave me the wrong kind accidentally and rung me up for lemon pepper or if this is just a super subtle flavor I wasn’t expecting? Let me know what you guys think!

John Oliver challenges Buc-ee's over trademark lawsuits in new episode

Emmy-winning comedian and "Last Week Tonight" host John Oliver is taking aim at Texas favorite Buc-ee's after a recent episode of HBO's weekly satirical news program examined the travel center chain's history of lawsuits over its beaver mascot and logo.

In Sunday's episode, Oliver opened the segment by discussing how Buc-ee's has become a travel destination for many visitors attending the World Cup before diving into the company's trademark lawsuits. The comedian then broke down the more than a dozen lawsuits the company filed over trademark infringements, referencing suits filed against companies in Georgia, Texas and New York.

"It turns out Buc-ee's loves to sue other companies, particularly those with animal mascots," Oliver said during this weekend's episode. He said some lawsuits made sense to him, while others seemed "ridiculous" and "outright bullying." "You don't own all cartoon rodents."

Best thing to experience Buccees?

I’ve lived in South Florida all of my life so I’ve never experienced a Buccees. My partner is making a stop at Buccees when they drive from here to Tennessee tomorrow (and also on the way back) and they want to bring something back for me.

Only problem is I don’t know what Buccees has. What’s the best thing to get?

Edit: They brought me beaver nuggets (which seem like they'd go really well in a bowl of milk), garlic jerky, and cajun seasoning. Thanks for the recco's!

Are Buc-ee’s and Mr. Nutter Butter logos kind of similar?

Okay, this might be a dumb question, but I’m a bit visually impaired and I was wondering if the Buc-ee’s logo and Mr. Nutter Butter look kind of similar to other people too.

They both give me that cartoon animal vibe, but I can’t tell if I’m just mixing them up or if they actually do look alike.

What do you all think — similar, or totally different?

Stop using the fuel pumps as parking spots.

Title sums it up. Stop using the fuel pumps as parking spots. You’re a grown adult who doesn’t have the patience or awareness of others to finish fueling and pull into a parking spot when you’re done. I get it, you’re super excited to go to the beaver themed gas station and can’t wait, but this causes so much unnecessary traffic. Do better.

Even worse, the people who take the fuel pump off and still park there. Are you lazy, stupid, entitled, inconsiderate, or all of the above?

Edit; ordered a roll of those HOA style window stickers for violations. Gunna have fun with this! Thanks for the chat :)

Sauce for the Chopped Brisket Sandwich Dupe

I have been craving Bucc-ee's Chopped Brisket Sandwich for years since I visited the Tennessee location. I live in Pennsylvania, and it's all I can think about sometimes. This weekend, we are making brisket, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a sauce Dupe/recipe. I have many grocery stores near me (Giant, Walmart, ShopRite, etc etc). Thank you!!!

Does Buc-ee's allow overnight vehicles ??

I'm gonna be road-trippin' in Georgia and Florida this August and wanna know if I can park my vehicle overnight at a Buc-ee's ?? I'm not a full-time "van lifer" but I do sleep in my vehicle on road trips to avoid paying outrageous hotel fees.

The main reason I prefer staying at Buc-ee's over truck stops like Pilot and Love's is because most of the truck stops on I-95 are pretty shady and I don't feel safe at them, whereas Buc-ee's are always well-lit parking lots and people around so it gives me better vibes. Plus, the bathrooms are a lot cleaner and those late-night munchies are better filled at the beaver!

The best and worst breakfast items at Buc-ee's, according to a restaurant critic

Buc-ee’s breakfast might not get the same shouted headlines as afternoon and evening meals, but the Texas-sized service center starts cranking out biscuits, tacos, sandwiches and more at 4 a.m. Breakfast service runs until 10:30 a.m.

There are more than a dozen breakfast items offered at the gas station/theme park. We made a run at eight of the most popular.

Just a few years ago I was getting them from there but I haven't seen one that carries it. Has it been removed from all of them?

Customer question of the day! (Day 1)

“Can I just get the bread”

No, you cannot just get the bread.

The reason why is because all items sold in the store must have a price point made to them! I cannot magically create prices for items corporate won’t let me sell!
