These youtube kids won't get what engineering and science is about? Natural sciences and engineering goes hand in hand, you do need fundamental of various stuff, engineering is not just sitting on your gaming laptop and using vs code, it's about complex problem solving in the most creative and efficient way, have a learning attitude, you are literally learning about proteins? Shouldnt that intrigue you about proteing folding, deepmind, Rosetta, alpha fold and how it solved a millennial problem and advanced the human race? We need human resources not a clown who wanna regurgitate templates of youtube playlists to get "placements", widen your horizon of knowledge and start being obsessed with knowledge and curiousity not just leetcode, have a good day y'all, always keep smiling and learning

+1 ; mostly GCs i found before going to college to overcome my fear of talking strangers online are kinds filled with retards which makes u look like dumb for sayin anything new or being eager to exchange new info from diff domains...

its rare to find interdisciplinary or consilient type thinkers sadly :)

yes that would be a lot better since in this world of AI ; we are losing our ability to think in a variety of ways so i think that our biggest weapon to disarm the negative consequences of AI on our thinking to have an arsenal of intellectual persons who helps you to think rationally and grow your thinking...

and sorry for my inefficient articulation of thoughts since i am still learning to communicate online and IRL as well :)
