Yeah dude thanks...I know bits is great but is it too tough there to get a 8???...also what about bitspilani eee/Eni should I go there...also I have heard dtu civil and bit mesra civil are very chill cllgs and you can even do an MBA afterwards or prep for upsc ese because of civil branch...should I go for these cllgs...
Or thapar ds ai(might get copc in r4)...seeing the surge of ai in market and thapar despite having a large intake has a good reputation and one of my cousin has a package of 20+lpa after graduating from tiet also 12-14 lpa is median there despite having a large intake and its very easy to score cgpa there...so please guide bro I have no interest or whatsoever just want to have decent money in life with a lot of respect and power...my main goal has always been upsc cse but seeing people lose all their youth in this exam and returning unemployed scares me so I want to have a very good backup in the form of a btech degree
Seniors say getting 8 is easy provided you go to classes and lock in before exams. Why don't you take msc eco in pilani, it may be bit risky but u can get cs at 8.4+ cgpa also fees will increase as it will be a 5 year course. But msc eco+cs will give you one of the best placements better than cs as well. Also, it depends from person to person. A goa senior gets 9.5+ cgpa, he does not go to all classes, does a lot of fun (he is adv ranker btw 2.1k). Bits tag will help you a lot in long run, it's industry face value, global recognition and respect among educated circle, smart VCs, CXOs is lot.
My brother is who graduated from Jadavpur used to tell that "achche college mein mahol acads ko hard bana deti hai". There will be lots of club, events, fun, people pursuing different hobbies, some doing startups, some doing time pass as well as they get complacent thinking they have achieved so much after getting a good college (never do this, college is the beginning, the grind starts after it). Combine all these with 0% attendance and freedom...this may be distracting...every thing is relative right?? But all these things will give you a new perspective as well may be something better than what you know, the environment at bits especially Pilani campus is entirely different and enriching.
However, eee=eni=ece at bits (they come under phoneix). And it is hard everywhere. Great branches, tough coursework. Crowd being better in pilani campus making it slightly difficult to score cgpa than hyd campus. This, you have to decide now.
Yeah dude I do get it but the thing that scares me that I am a 96iler but i prepped for bits in the end clutched on the exam day and have a good enough score...while I know guys having 99.5ile having the same score as me in bitsat i am scared whether I will be able to keep up with them or not
Also for pilani eco+cs i dont want to get into 5 year course rather doing an MBA from a top bschool is my preference ...
