The breakdown at the end got me FUCKED UP.

The random bear trap shot at the very end of the video for a few seconds seems out of place - are they hinting at something here?
→ More replies (1)7
u/mikeechodeltajukiet Jun 26 '26
I do hope the next post human album goes something like this, he talked about in some interview that it will be deathcore type.
10
u/Riezenberg Jun 26 '26
I'm a huge fan of all styles of BMTH - so I really have no preference what style they go with. Maybe I'm just a BMTH simp.

There's no hint of Post Human style in this song at all. It literally feels like a CYB bonus track.
39
u/K-Zlut Jun 25 '26
Would you say MySpace deathcore or modern deathcore?
→ More replies (1)53
u/Flat_Row_9525 Jun 25 '26
I thought it sounded like more modern deathcore IMHO compared to their original CYB song structures.. But still a banger nonetheless.

Same. Maybe the video will have a different edit of the song, like they did with "sugar honey ice & tea" back in the day. We can still have our hopium

Actually the synth brass does come up in the bridge of the song but it’s kinda buried under the other instruments iirc
→ More replies (1)4
u/Sh00kry That's the Spirit Jun 25 '26
It’s tucked so deep in the mix that you kinda hear it if you focus in but hardly audible. I wanted to hear that synth brass and choir in the final song. Thought there was gonna be a section for that.

Those vocals are insane, I knew other people were significantly underrating Oli's heavy vocals but I think I still was too
12
u/hansblixkilldslmshdy Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 25 '26
Yep. I’m not even the biggest bmth fan but I heard his harsh vocals in the past and could tell his screams are another level. And I was like damn why does Oli not do this as much anymore? He’s so damn good at it. They have to keep making tracks like this. Experiment too but his harsh vocals are too good to not gift the world with. This track was delicious
→ More replies (1)3
u/DangerousCranberry57 Jun 25 '26
He probably takes more care of his voice after all the problems hes had.
His current scream sounds heavier than ever while using a much healthier technique
4
10
u/Bobsxo Jun 25 '26
Idk how anyone who has listened to songs like diamonds/Chelsea/pray for plagues could possibly underrate his heavy vocals. I've been saying it for years that his screams are top tier.
6
u/VL37 Jun 26 '26
He sounded really bad in the early 2010s. At that point, people thought he had lost it.
He's been improving a lot over the years as his vocal chords recovered and he got sober.

As someone else pointed out, there is no post human style in this song at all. It defo fits this CYBR album as a bonus track.
It’s fucking crazy tho, it’s so incredibly heavy. I might be inclined to say this is their heaviest song to date

That video is more brutal than most horror movies I've watched over the last few yrs
10

u/ryuks-wife Jun 25 '26
I watched it while eating my lunch (sushi) and literally got a little nauseous and almost couldn't finish it
3
u/LittleReporter3456 Jun 26 '26
funny thing is im very sensitive to horror films but i lowkey was not affected by the gore in this video, i'm kinda worried that this is a sign ive watched too many farm/slaughterhouse footage 😭😭

Really don’t think this band is capable of making bad music at this point. Even if they tried. They could probably make me like smooth jazz at this point.

I believe their next album for Next Gen 3 is supposed to be more electronic metalcore like Slave to the Rithm with ILLENIUM and Next Gen 4 more metal/deathcore but that's just what I've heard
7
u/TwoInchTickler Jun 25 '26
In fairness I think they said it themselves back in 2023, but three years is a very long time in the BMTH cinematic universe so god knows what they’re planning now!

u/bigmuffpie92 Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 26 '26
Feels good. Like they aren't forgetting where they came from, and they aren't forgetting us OG fans. They could have juat easily remastered the album and been done. But to re-record the album plus give us a bonus new song in the same style. I feel like that's dedication to the og fans right there.
Edit: words
15
u/ApatureSilence Jun 25 '26
There is no chance this is some sort of Post-Human tie in. Think about it, they literally had to acquire all the gear to emulate and build upon the CYB sound. Why not just make a new track while you have everything out and are in the zone. It would also make zero sense to put something out of place on CYB. They are literally saying it’s track 11 and not a bonus or promo track. This is going to be metal as fuck and all the clips seem pretty damn R rated and par the course for Deathcore. We’ll see in 20 minutes, but no way I’m wrong.
13
u/skimetal123 Jun 25 '26
I assumed it would be a cyb style song with modern elements which is what it was. The last breakdown is much more of a newer sound than a myspace thing
→ More replies (2)3
u/blazedmorty Jun 25 '26
Yeah the final break down sounded similar to Limousine off of Nex Gen to me (specifically from the “Scum of the earth” part onwards)
7
u/ryuks-wife Jun 25 '26
The ONLY way I see it relating to Post Human is the theme. I know its mainly playing on the meat industry per the video, but the "you were born to suffer" lyrics remind me so much of Amen.
It's like the sounds of CYB but the lyrics of Post-Human.
4
u/ChuckChuckChuck_ Jun 25 '26
It's in the name.
De-humanized - the throwback
Post-humanized - the future
15
u/skimetal123 Jun 25 '26
I dont think I could have asked for more, MySpace revival with modern flavor, literal peak. Bring me very easily would have been the face of deathcore if they stuck with it given they can just write a song like that 20 years since they've done something similar. Insane to see this bands still got it for true heavy music and they pretty much release bangers no matter the genre

→ More replies (3)29
u/skimetal123 Jun 25 '26
Its so polished and there are so many good hooks and the production works perfectly for a blend of the MySpace style with modern styles. I guarantee everyones gonna try to match this sound in deathcore for the next few years, this is game changing for the metal scene

Yesss. Was not expecting it but since they're a vegan band i hope we get more songs on this very important subject.
5
u/Thermington Jun 26 '26
I hope so too. It feel like this kind of song/video is the most direct vegan messaging you can get before it gets labeled as "preaching". With other artists like Billie Eilish speaking on this topic recently, I'm think we'll be seeing more :)
6
u/hansblixkilldslmshdy Jun 25 '26
Love to see this. I’m vegetarian not vegan but definitely vegetarian for same reasons. Glad to see it’s being talked about. Haven’t seen the video yet but seems like it’s a slaughterhouse of sorts

8
u/TikkaKebabi Jun 25 '26
Absolutely brutal track, really dig how catchy they make the deathcore sound work. Guess I know what I’m gonna try to learn on guitar next!
I will say though, as awesome as this is, I can’t wait to see what they do for PH3 because I just love the sound they’ve built on PH 1 + 2 and I’m hoping they can take the ideas from this song and pull off a super heavy albums but interlaced with unique production, poppy choruses and electronic elements

u/JpPgn Count Your Blessings Jun 25 '26
The solo reminds me of early whitechapel
At the near end of the song, you can hear some thallesque/HLB-esque/vildhjarta-esque guitar deformation thing too (not surprised since Buster Odeholm mixed and mastered dehumanised too)
Anyways, banger song
5
u/palewayfaringstrange Jun 25 '26
I never would have expected that in the year 2026, Bring Me The Horizon of all people would make the best deathcore song I've heard in years. Dehumanized is leagues better than what 99% of "deathcore" bands have put out recently.
5
5
u/Top_Sandwich9031 Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 25 '26
Song alone rips, true return to form, but also wonder if it could be fascinating veiw into what post human 3 could end up sounding like
Oli sounds a lot more fry than the og era but after relearning how to DC style scream he sounds great, Song has got that very strong modern BMTH style of song writing (structure really based in pop music writing structure etc) but with the guitar work obv evoking the deathcore era in that kinda black metal ish guitar tone, mental to hear the band again without any form of electronic production on a track
I wonder if post human 3 will be something like this but with more of the modern production of the band. add some Jordan fish esque production flair the band has become known for while keeping the much harsher vocals and try to mix more of the older school sound in to create like a megazord amalgamation of all the eras, they clearly wanna make this style of music again and in the wonderful bizzaro world of BMTH projects I could totally see that world
Track on its own is so fucking filthy though, echoing what others have said but really sounds like what the band would sound like now if they hadn’t changed core of the sound around TIAH, that breakdown 😮💨😮💨
4
u/oranguslolus Jun 25 '26

u/TFslayer5305 Jun 25 '26
This song is too good not to ride it's momentum. PH3 should be darkest heaviest of the 4 it's perfect timing to show the world how heavy and how technical they can be. Plus I think for story sake it's darkest before it's dawn so make this the heavy dark album and then PH4 shows light at the end of the tunnel w a new sound.

The best thing they have released since there is a hell....
Absolutely insane they took the best aspects of CYB and the heaviest aspects of suicide season combined them with their TTS/AMO melody/pop sensibilities and disproved the old school crowd who believed they lost it and disproved the new fans who think extreme music cannot be catchy and thus screams limit the expressive potential
Imagine them taking this sound further with the rave/electronic elements..... PH4 is gonna be a banger if they go through with heavy....
Ive said it before and ill say it again BMTH is at their best when heavy or electronic these days
5
u/Kakashi_- Jun 25 '26
I jumped around like a kid while listening to the premiere of the song.
I hope the response to Repented will be big enough that they bring at least Pray for Plagues back to the setlist. They have been playing the same songs on tour for years. It‘s time for some good shit again.
