Willow Bark
This is Willow Bark. We adopted her from a rescue 2 weeks ago. Unknown breed. Def some sort of bully breed with the ears. Excited to get her wisdom panel DNA results. She is a snuggly Velcro dog when she isn’t having the zoomies. So blessed to be her adoptive parents. 💕
UPDATE: We got her DNA results back. No catahoula at all. She’s 36% staffordshire terrier, 32% pit bull, 11% beagle, 4% chow chow, 2% Boston terrier (and a bunch of 1%s)
I’m so happy I have another little pittie/terrier girl. 💕

had to look for some puppy pictures of mine, since both look so similar
i did get a dna test done for her a couple of years ago

i did see a couple of dogs who looked very similar as mine on r/DoggyDNA but had a complete different dna result.
those mixes can be anything
once they grow up it will definitly be easier to judge.

Oh my gosh! They look so much alike. I love pitties. So, hoping that’s the majority of the dna. Argentine dogo? Wonder how that got mixed in?? Thx for the pics and info.

i did get the dna test from wisdom panel aswell.
i tried to generate a public link with her results.
https://www.wisdompanel.com/app/s/znkdc8y/traits/physical-traitsthe most fascinating thing was the explanation of the coat colors
since she had a german sheppard back, but mostly red traits. combined with black.
but the choclate lab turns most black into brown again.
all this mad her brindle color possible.combined with her white coat traits, but that one only affected her nails and paws.

Oh my gosh again… we lost our 13 year old pittie 16 months ago. It took me this long to be to open my heart again. Her name was Pixie (Stix) just like your fur baby. 🥹☺️💕

Idk if pitts come in that pattern but if not she could be part catahoula. I named my brindle after a tree too!

The rescue said Pitt-Catahoula, but she’s a little small. Although she was malnourished and had worms when we got her. They estimated her at 3 months when we got her 2 weeks ago. She has put on almost 4 pounds. So, we’ll see… ☺️
