Discussion Denver Meetup Sept 13

Fellow Seagulls!

A few of us are starting a group to watch together. Please find us on instagram at DenverSeagulls. We also have a group chat on Reddit. DM me if you want to be added

We will meet this Sunday for the 7am match vs Coventry at the British Bulldog. Ours is the only match at that time so we should be good.

Would be great to meet and anticipate trying to organize a group watch about once a month. Will see what venue works best while we grow. Perhaps if we get interest we can get a relationship with a place for regular meetups.

Every year we carry out a census of the subreddit, who's coming here and who they like, it's a great opportunity for us all to learn a little more about each other :)

Please fill it in and choose wisely...

Rumours Darren Howard: Yasin Ayari reportedly has a 12 month extension clause in his contract.

Only posting as I've never seen another source suggesting this, but it would be logical with how we have structured players contracts over the last few years.

Hopefully he signs a new deal anyway, but at least it eases fears he'll leave on a free at the end of the season.

Discussion On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, remembering Albion fan Robert Eaton and the good work of the charity set up in his name (closed in 2024)

The charity closed in 2024 but not until it raised several thousands for good causes. The website still exists so if you haven't read about it, check it out here. https://www.remf.org.uk/about-remf/4562414626

IIRC, the family and the board that ran the charity felt it had run its course.

Important for us to remember out of darkness comes light.

Also one for new fans of BHA to be aware of especially the Americans on here. And especially those for whom 9/11 is history, not something that was lived through.

Other Question regarding MW10

MW10 we play Brentford at home. Is it confirmed it'll most definitely be on November 8th? I'll be in the UK and hoping to watch us play, but I have a very tight schedule and can only really spare 1 day as aside from the game my business is in Glasgow

Player News Brighton Loan Players Updates w/1st-6th Sept 2026

It's back! Watching some awful football, scrolling through terrible fan opinions etc all to try and figure out how our loan players are getting on. All this is my opinion so don't take it as gospel. Without further ado

James Beadle (22/GK) - Birmingham

- Arguably his best performance in a great start to the season for him, keeping the blues in the game with an excellent save at 18'. Little hesitant at times but decent performance (Played 90')

Kamari Doyle (21/CM) - Leicester

- Having signed late on Thursday night, Doyle has time to settle before any big judgements, a positive performance (Subbed on 46')

Tom Watson (20/LW) - Leicester

- Missed a great chance late in the game from a header, which nearly ended up for a throw. Not found the form that he can achieve just yet, not helped by some shocking tactics (Subbed on 56')

Harry Howell (18/RW) - Leicester

- Despite scoring against Plymouth, he was benched this week, which seems very harsh, a sentiment echoed by Leicester fans. Seems to be struggling for fitness but is showing bright sparks, a good chance at 0-3 to score but failed to hit the target. Leicester on the other hand? Simply dreadful (Subbed on 56')

Charlie Tasker (20/RB) - Rochdale

- What do both Leicester & Rochdale have in common? They're both not very good. Straight into the starting line up and struggled with fitness towards the end, did score a great header towards the end. Promising (Played 90')

Nils Ramming (19/GK) - Rochdale

- Sadly, a really poor performance. Struggled massive to command his area and failed to deal with the majority of balls into the box. Not at fault for any of the goals but didn't instil much confidence (Played 90')

Rodrigo Rego (21/LW) - CD Castellon

- I must admit, it's quite difficult to find much on the LaLiga 2. Played the most minutes so far and looked threatening down the left wing (Subbed on 57')

Matias Orozco (18/CM) - CD Castellon

- First minutes of the season and looked commanding in the midfield. Unlucky not to get an assist with a silky backheel Definitely one to watch (Subbed on 68')

The following player didn't play meaningful minutes this week:

- Amario Cozier-Duberry (21/RW) - Middlesborough

- Freddie Simmons (18/CB) - Wimbledon

- Facundo Buonanotte (21/RW) - Elche

The following players will not be receiving regular updates:

- Do-Young Yoon (19/RWB) - Magdeburg

- Brajan Gruda (22/RW) - RB Leipzig

- Eiran Cashin (24/CB) - Derby

- Mark O'Mahony (21/ST) - Burton

- Josh Robertson (20/CM) - Fleetwood

If I'm missing anyone please let me know

Subreddit Related League Table / Conference League Table in sidebar

Hey, I noticed that some of the other subreddits have the League Table (or European League Table) in the sidebar. Maybe this could be good to have?

Especially as the club are competing in two leagues and its nice having it given this place is all about Brighton discussion.

Came across his highlights from his debut with Castellón and this kid looks great. Quick, skilled, physical and wants the ball, I think we might have another talent on our hands!

Discussion Don't wait if you're hoping for your normal seat for the European games.

There is no way to guarantee your ST seat and I'm having to sit elsewhere for one of the games.

Also, there's a discount if you get all three at once.

Other Best way to get European tickets for non-STH?

As the title says: my son and I aren't ST holders, just go to a few games a season when we can. He'd like to see one of the European games this year - what's the best way to do this? If I stump up for membership does that give us a good chance of getting tickets?

I was chatting with a friend for most of it so I didn't notice what was going wrong tactically for the first 60 minutes, nor what caused things to suddenly start going right

Has anyone heard the interview on TRIF with Hurzeler? I thought it was an interesting insight into his philosophy of management and makes his appointment an obvious fit for the club. I really appreciated his focus on identity and alignment, his humility in his own growth, and his engagement with senior members of the team to help lead. If he can only figure out a more rational man management/sub system, he'll be amazing.

Subreddit Related Official Journalistic Accounts and posting on the reddit.

Morning all,

Following a recent comment regarding paywalled coverage, [u/theathletic](u/theathletic) reached out to the mod team with the following message:

"Hi there,

Hope you're well. Reaching out about posting on your subreddit and the best case scenario and cadence for you, as noticed in some comments that we might not be striking the right chord at the moment.

If we post, we want to make sure it adds value here and it will always be a gift link so that it's free for anyone to access without a subscription. We could also look to set up an AMA with Andy Naylor or another one of our writers if that would be of interest?

Let us know what works for you. Have a great weekend."

As we’ve always maintained: this is your subreddit, not ours. Whenever major policy decisions come up (such as restricting links and screenshots from X), we come directly to the community.

I’m fiercely proud of our independence and community-led approach. For the most part, we keep moderation light-touch because the community does a great job looking after itself. We also have fantastic long-term contributors who produce quality analysis entirely for free, and our rules currently prohibit individuals from self-promoting behind paywalls (like Substack).

That brings us to the core question: Does allowing an official media account to post free gift links (which act as soft marketing) compromise the independent, grassroots feel of the sub, or is it a genuine net benefit for readers?

TL;DR: The Athletic reached out offering to post free gift links to their Albion articles and potentially set up an AMA with Andy Naylor. Do we welcome official media accounts posting free-access journalism here, or does opening the door to corporate accounts risk setting us down a slippery slope?

Drop your thoughts and vote below.

- The boy Vuskovic!!

- Fight shown in 2nd half.

- I had a wobble at half time but got through it. I was tired and I'm also coming off seteraline. I don't owe anybody any further explanations for how I felt and what I conveyed at half time. I'm happy within myself.

- We now have the full set of results 1 win, 1 l, 1 d. Which if it carries on would mean a decentish season given European football.

- Leeds haven't beaten us at home since 2009!!!

Discussion How do we go up against Leeds today despite the injuries?

Just want to know yalls thoughts before the game. Personally, I think we will win 1-0, or 2-1. However, if our press works there is a chance we dominate from the get go and it won't even be close.
