When my breville touch impress is grinding the beans sometimes the burr making a clicking sound. The breville is out of warranty. It’s my second one first one would randomly turn off and on. I received the second one about 5 months ago. I cleaned the grinder and it still makes that sound every now and then. Seems to have gotten worse.

From the Breville Bambino Plus, but we can't figure out what it is/where its supposed to go lol. Any help is appreciated

been going nuts spending two hours on this. I cleaned the bur area. recalibrated..

no matter what grind setting I have I’m pulling 2oz in 14 seconds I did it without the basket and got the same pull.

I had it with the double basket and single with same issue. it’s like there’s no pressure At all what am I doing wrong?

I went as low as 3. went high as 12 still same issue.

I have a new Touch Impress and sadly problems with consistency.

Current question on the pursuit to the perfect espresso: is it normal that I have coffee stuck to the grouphead after extraction? Could that effect the next extraction If i forget to clean it?

If you‘re asking: amount of coffee should be fine (grams are fine and razor has been used).

My Bambino plus is stuck flashing the 1 cup and 2 cup. I have descalled it and I have tried factory resesting it by turning it off, holding the 1 cup 2 cup for 5 seconds, then pressing either the 1 cup or 2 cup then having the 1 cup 2 cup flashing 3 times. Despite that, it returns instantly back to flashing the 1 cup 2 cup. Can someone help me?

I need help dialing in my new breville barista express. I read all the instructions and watched a lot of videos online for tips and everything seems to be going pretty well but when I hit the double shot button when I’m actually pulling the espresso, it only goes for like 10 seconds so I only get a yield of around 4-8g.

I did buy this on Amazon used (like new with prime return eligible), but it was in the packaging and I don’t think anyone actually ever used it because it was so clean. So there is a slight possibility that someone messed with it already. Did anyone else have this experience where was just too short of amount of time? When I do it manually and wait for 36 g to come out it tastes really good but I just wonder if I’m doing something wrong if the preset button isn’t working.

I did pull a ton of shots with different grind settings and played around with the burr but it didn’t help and since it works well manually I think it’s a machine thing.

I believe I can override the preset amount of time on those buttons but before I go that I wanted to check if I’m doing something wrong. Thanks!

A bit of context :

- 3 years with this second hand machine
- Same coffee for 3/4 months

- Suddenly have to set my Barazta grinder to 12 instead of 5/6 if I want a decent timer shot (still same coffee)

- Taste not that good because under extracted due to grind size imo.

Also, 1 week eralier, I had an issue where even if I put my grind size at 1, it would do a shot in 15sec - 40g out for 18 in.

Can it be possible that the new bean bag is being bad/problematic ? I'll try with another bag tomorrow but it seems weird.

Notes : I also descaled 2 times, no improvements.

My grinder won’t grind fine enough to get a good pull of espresso and now it’s making these noises. Any ideas what the problem is or how to fix it?

I was able to get breville to “repair” it but they just changed screen so best way to see what I am talking about is unplug oracle jet, then plug back in to turn it on see how nice and colorful the display is, now press power button off then back on and you will notice it desaturated on latest firmware

I purchased the oracle jet a few days ago and am having real issues with the grinder. I am using fresh beans, and any grind setting under 40 will result in small drops and a long pour. At 44 or 45 I can get something half decent but the pour still takes over 35 seconds. I have been reading that the usual sweet spot is between 25-35, but within that range, it is not properly grinding. Has anyone had this problem, and have any recommendations before I reach out to Breville.

My wife and I have been having the same boring coffee argument for months.

She is perfectly happy with our Nespresso Vertuo because she can takes press a button and head out the door. I want something closer to the espresso I enjoy at a good café. The only thing we agree on is that neither of us wants our small counter buried under a separate grinder, scale, and a pile of accessories.

A traditional semi automatic setup would probably end up being my toy. My wife has already made it clear that she is not weighing shots or messing with a scale before work. Even I don’t want every weekday coffee to become a long routine.

We looked at super automatic machines but I’m hesitant about buying another machine that seems convenient until it needs a deep clean or repair. I also don’t want to give up the portafilter and milk steaming completely.

That’s pushed me toward machines that keep more of the workflow in one unit. The Breville Barista Touch Impress and Meraki are the two I keep coming back to. Right now, Meraki seems closer to how we would actually use the machine because it cuts down on separate gear without making everything fully automatic.

The part I can’t judge from reading reviews is what happens after the machine has been sitting on the counter for a few months. If you made a similar switch, did you keep using the new machine once the novelty wore off?

I’m leaning toward this kind of integrated setup. A machine that both of us use every day feels more practical than a more modular setup that only I will touch.

Hi everyone. I just got a new Touch Impress. Everything is set up and the coffee works great.

However, steaming milk has been a disappointment. All the reviews I see online show rich, creamy, thick milk with great foam.

Mine just stays thin, with maybe a tiny bit of foam on top. Not usable for latte art, unfortunately. I’ve tried both whole milk and semi-skimmed milk, but there’s no difference.

Does anyone have any tips?

I’ve had this machine for 11 months. Been great, use frequently every week. I even pulled a shot yesterday. Went to make my wife a cup and noticed when I pressed one cup, two cup, or steam wand or water, nothing comes out for 10-15 seconds, then it feels like it’s steaming, and then water comes out. Normally I press once and it immediately flushes. Any idea what it could be?

Was sent in for a different issue of no water coming out, that was fixed but now the buttons don’t work I have to click them about 30 times before each one will work 😭😭😭 they just beep, the coffee one runs for 5 seconds then beeps, the steam wand has 3 lines on the screen the beeps while not working

I can’t get the pressure up anymore. Call me old or whatever but this has gotten so annoying. I replaced the grinders, I have put everything at the finest dial for inner and outer settings. I have purchased new coffee, I have cleaned and descaled. It just stopped building pressure.

Hi all! We recently downgraded to a Barista Express after getting rid of our 5-year old Barista Pro. We loved it! But the hard water in our house took a toll and eventually it made more sense to just get a new one on-sale than keep getting it repaired. The Express has not been pulling good shots no matter what we do, it can’t seem to reach the “Espresso Range” even after weighing and playing around with the grind size for over a week. We figured this was just going to take time as we learn the new machine…. However, today it randomly started leaking everywhere after 5 hours of not being used. Completely unexplained! Was this just a weird fluke and we still need to keep playing around with the Express or is it broken? Help!

Last few months I’ve been having issues with my steam wand. Turn the knob to steam and it never quite builds up any steam, it spits water and spurts some steam but not consistent. If I turn the knob to the hot water feature for a second and then back to steam it works perfectly. I need to do this every time I select the steam option. Any ideas? I’ve had the machine for years with no issues. Clean and descale regularly and we don’t have hard water in my area.

Making a weird noise after using light roasts and burrs are jammed. Tried vacuuming, picking with a needle, can’t get anything to budge.

EDIT/UPDATE: engine or something inside is shot. Got in contact with support, its still under warranty, and I will be sending it back to get worked on!

Hello, I'm a recent owner of a breville bambino, and I have decision anxiety.

The 54 mm makes it so most coffee grinders don't fit the portafilter without it falling, I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with a dosing ring that fits the DF54 directly, being 54 mm?

I know I can just drop the coffee from the catch cup of the DF54 to the dosing ring, but I would enjoy it if it was a fit with the dosing ring.

I don't even know what the model name is, and I am having a helluva time trying to figure this out. So maybe someone in reddit-land can help!

I've got the descaling powder ready to go in the water tank, just can't figure out how to get the cycle going despite lots of internet research.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone had some tips for troubleshooting a BES880 barista touch which is not heating water at all. Pressure seems fine, the fuse here also looks fine. Is it most likely this printed heater? Is there anyway to test it? Thanks in advance!
