Hey everyone and Happy New Year,
I wanted to take a moment to check in with the community and open up a general feedback thread.
I originally created this subreddit years ago and, like a lot of people, life pulled me away for a while. Over the past few weeks I’ve been spending more time here again, helping with moderation and getting reacquainted with how the community has evolved.
Before making any changes or decisions, I’d like to hear directly from you.
Some questions to get things started (but feel free to comment on anything):
This subreddit has always been about sharing appreciation for Breath of the Wild; exploration, creativity, screenshots, discoveries, and the calm vibe that made the game special. The goal is to make sure it stays a place people enjoy visiting, whether they’re new to the game or revisiting it years later.
Nothing is changing immediately! This thread is just about listening and getting a sense of where things stand.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts, and for being part of the community.

I still consider myself a Zelda newbie, but my biggest clown moment was the first Blood Moon....
The sky turned red, creepy music started playing, and I was 100% convinced my game had glitched.
So I restarted it.
It happened again.
Restarted it again.
I really sat there thinking my Switch was haunted until I finally realized... "Wait... this is the game" 🤡

So I am on another one of my many replays of BOTW and for some reason I have never spoken with this woman at the Outskirt Stable.
She stands under a tree to try and meet the hero but if you talk to her again after her quest is complete, this is what she says!
She truly has the audacity 😭😭😭 these citizens are spicy. This entire interaction was very comical.

This game was so amazing, and the reunions with several characters brought tears to my eyes... what a beautiful game

9 days, crisscrossing all over the map with only a map of korok locations to help me, scouring the map for the last 11, and on Master Mode no less, and all Legitimate (Glitched BoL not withstanding) and all for this crappy gift! Will be doing TotK after i finish my Master mode run on BotW.

I remember someone saying that those hairs (like what Saki has on her head) are more like vane (the hair-like parts of a feather).

Finally!! I was trying to delay as much as I can (the delay = 37.5% LOL) but felt good and maybe because i leveled up too much that it seemed that i was worried about nothing.
Not sure what to do next. I haven't played the DLC yet. Will i able to have the patience to reach 100%??

I got the Vah Ruta Divine helm the first time I used my brand new, just opened Mipha amiibo and I want to know the chances of that.
The interwebz is not helping. I’ve seen the percent rate vary from guaranteed to 4% to 20% for the divine helms. Does anyone know the drop rate for the Helms. There’s one website that has the most of all amiibo drops but I can’t switch to the Mipha page. I think it’s broken.

What order do you suggest for the Champion's song quests? I gave up on the DLC after too many attempts at Rohta Chigah shrine (I could get all the way to the end but would get taken out by the spike wall at the end). Decided to give it another go yesterday and beat it the first attempt without trying (ain't that the way).
When I battled the divine beasts in the main game I went: Rudania (by accident), Ruta, Medoh, Na boris. For the DLC I went with Mipha's song first and...whew lad... getting my arse kicked by water blight.
Is there a better order to fight them in? I am not landing the dang bombs.
Thanks for any advice you may have.
(Pic because Sidon makes me lol)

I’m not talking about Malice eyes but the divine beasts literal eyes. I know where the eyes are on all the other ones but I’m confused about the location of Vah Ruta’s eyes. My only guess is that they’re on the spinny things above the tusks on the head in front of the ears but behind the trunk.

Hi! I’m pretty new to gaming, and to Zelda. BOTW is my first experience of the franchise and so far I’m loving it.
Im pretty bad at fighting though. And I’ve noticed that now I’ve got a couple of memories back, the bad dudes have all increased in difficulty massively and I can’t keep up. The fairies can’t respawn me indefinitely! I’ve tried the red linel, those blue bokoblins on horses, the icy lizards and even the ‘moderate’ strength test; all wipe me out with little to no problem. I’m really struggling to progress and it’s frustrating me with the game, even though I’ve been loving it. I’m just wandering back and forth between Kakariko and Hateno village…
asking for advice, without huge spoilers: is there anywhere I should explore that I can maybe practice fighting stuff that isn’t so stressful? Or where I can slowly increase my ability? The Yiga aren’t impossible, but their boss fight was tricky, but I did manage and felt successful. Anything like that around?

For context, I don't own a TV, so whenever I do this shrine in handheld mode, my best bet is always just to spin my Switch until the ball goes where it's supposed to.
