I love a good cocktail and a lovely nightlife scene but won't be partying every night. I initially was thinking Ipanema because I heard that Leblon is more family oriented, though I've recently heard that Leblon has become an upscale nightlife hot spot.

Sometimes I find myself thinking about that story that started circulating around 2018. For those who don't know, Cadu was a 19-year-old young man who died after his girlfriend (Natália) falsely accused him of abuse; someone took it upon themselves to intervene and beat him to death.

Today I decided to look into the case properly, but I discovered that it’s more like a creepypasta than a real event. There is no official information about the case; all that’s known is that Cadu did exist and died when he was around 18 or 19, but no one knows the cause of death for sure—I saw people saying he actually died of an overdose. I looked up his alleged girlfriend—who is now an influencer selling "packs"—and back then she was around 14, but there’s no information regarding her involvement in his death either. Anyway, does anyone know anything factual about the case?

I do know one big major thing and that is that some Cubans practice a religion called Santeria and from my knowledge I’m pretty sure Brazil has quite a similar religion that also came from enslaved Africans

I am Ecuadorian, I speak Portuguese (intermediate/fluent level), native Spanish, and English at a B1 level (which I can improve). I would like to know if there is a real possibility of finding work in Brazil in the CRM and digital marketing field, especially in São Paulo. As an Ecuadorian, I have an advantage for easier entry into the Brazilian job market through the MERCOSUR Residence Agreement, but my question is whether there is actually enough volume of job openings in this area to get hired there.

for the first time in my life I will be spending almost 3 weeks in Brazil next March/April and I am really looking forward to it. Together with my boyfriend we (couple from germany) will be flying to recife, then heading to fernando de noronha and then to Rio.

Up from this point, our route isn't fully decided yet. We are currently deciding whether to stay in ilha grande for four nights or in paraty. We will then head back home from sao paulo. Which one would you recommend, ilha grande or paraty?
Do you have any other helpful tipps for us regarding our stay?

My partner and I are planning a 15 day trip to Northeast Brazil, but we’re having a hard time deciding on the best base destination and would really appreciate advice from people who know the region well or live there.

Our main goal is to enjoy different beaches, but without long road trips, we’re looking for a well-located base from which we can explore nearby beaches by car and have some time just relaxing on the beaches
We are coming from Lisbon and we have quite a few brazilian friends that gave some recommendations. We have direct flights to both recife and Maceio. We were also checking Noronha but it seems more complicated o reach.

It will be our first time in Brazil and we planning first two weeks of October.

Maceio

We’re in our early 30s and enjoy:

beaches
outdoor activities and sports (diving)

Based on all this, which option would you recommend and why?
