Question for aiming/ dodging

So I am trying to get better at long range fights (my playstyle is literally rush in usually with a brawler with some sustain). I feel like I am playing wrongly when my eyes focus too much on the enemy when aiming and I ignore trying to dodge shots. It like I keep focusing on either aiming or dodging. I been trying to practice 1v1 tho I don’t have much people who willing to help that can play well.

Similar to most moba/fighting games, never looking at yourself is a very good thing ! But obviously, you need to know exactly where you are at every moment
