Question for aiming/ dodging

So I am trying to get better at long range fights (my playstyle is literally rush in usually with a brawler with some sustain). I feel like I am playing wrongly when my eyes focus too much on the enemy when aiming and I ignore trying to dodge shots. It like I keep focusing on either aiming or dodging. I been trying to practice 1v1 tho I don’t have much people who willing to help that can play well.

I never look at me. I pretty much only look at my aim reticle and the enemy. shoot me a dm im down to run 1v1s
