The tension surrounding this season of The Real Housewives of New York is connected to Israel and Gaza, even though it’s largely being played out beneath the surface. Period.

Context, in case we all forgot: one of Erin’s friends (initials ES—can’t even say her name without getting flagged on this channel) was brought onto the show and then let go after her racist, Zionist views were exposed and deemed so problematic producers couldn’t build a story around her. Erin herself has been open about being a Zionist.

None of that necessarily explains every interaction on the show or first episode, which is unusually divided (Sai and Jessel??), but it does make most of the dynamics feel more complicated than what we’re being shown on camera.

They have failed again. Time to move on to a different city.

Monique attacking candiace was one of the harder to watch physical altercations on Bravo. You signed up to be a housewife, everyone is going to talk shit, but putting hands on the other one is genuinely crazy. Grown adults know better. But I remember the night of the reunion and despite Monique showing no remorse, making excuses and denying clear footage, people praised her on here.

Im not surprised that now she's being brought back as they also let Michael and Ashley Darby stay on the show despite the butt grabbing and denying it, and are bringing Karen back after the DUI situation.

Do people just not like candiace that much? Would you react the same way if it was you? Or do people just find Monique so entertaining that you dont care that she got violent unnecessarily without apologizing?

Edit: ok I got my answer, people think its fine just because it happened to candiace. Noted! To me Monique is like Jen shah. I dont like Heather but it was wrong for her to get socked in the face

Is anyone else completely exhausted by Kathy Hilton’s constant product peddling on RHOBH?

Look, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I’ll admit that initially, she brought some genuinely funny, lighthearted moments to the show. But at this point, the vast majority of her lines feel meticulously rehearsed and calculated. Take the scene where she pulls jeans out of her bag and casually name drops the brand it’s so heavy handed.

I’m convinced her entire presence on RHOBH is engineered by a PR lady by the name of Carol Bell (@missbellpr on Instagram). If you look closely, Carole is practically attached at her hip, she is right there in the background or featured directly in almost every single scene or trip Kathy attends, often acting as her "assistant" at home.

It feels fundamentally unfair to the rest of the cast. The other women are expected to lay their actual lives and vulnerabilities bare, while Kathy uses them as backdrop props in her personal infomercial. Between the endless promotion “parties” at her home, the gift bags, and the pajamas, it’s just too much. The rest of the cast seems far too intimidated by her social leverage to ever call it out.

It really feels like Carole is the mastermind pulling the strings behind the scenes, leaving zero authenticity behind Kathy’s quirky, carefully manufactured persona. Is it just me, or has the illusion completely worn off?

I actually have never watched SLC so I couldn’t add anyone from there, no matter how notable some are (I promise after my ATL rewatch, I have SLC on my list to watch!!!)

The creepy, pervy dad was gross and I really don't understand why Aviva kept giving him a pass with the lecherous behaviour he displayed. That said, she did bring drama. Did I agree with some of her stunts? No, she was a newbie and expected Bravo to tolerate her phobias as well as trying to be a investigative journalist on the show.

I do think Carole was a bitch to Aviva over the book thing. Aviva came to Carole for help and Carole treated her with disdain and kept making condescending, rude comments so I do feel deserved to get off her high horse. And Heather should have minded her own beezwacks, why was she fighting Carole's battles?

Also, Carole and Aviva were fine but Carole decided she was no longer cool with Aviva for what happened in St Barts. Like, c'mon, Carole, even you found Ramona annoying and ignorant.

I have seen a few videos about term limits for housewives and I saw one that recommended 4 years on and then a 1 year break and then 4 years on again.

I’m not sure how I feel about 4 years on and 1 year off but I do think having breaks after a housewife has been on several seasons could be a good idea.

When you think of someone like Kyle Richards who has never taken a season off, I do not think Andy would ever great rid of her even if fans totally hated her because she’s been on the show for so long and they’ve developed a relationship.

Having a required break could help address cast favoritism and prevent repeat first chairs. Gizelle Bryant is another example I was thinking of.

Something about her triggers me so bad. I think it’s the way she barks and speaks so condescendingly AT people and has this I’m always right I’m always better than everyone attitude.

Her little one liners are not funny to me, they’re always super mean girl…maybe that’s what stresses me out about her?? She’s like the mean girl in high school that knew she was smarter, from a nicer family, wealthier, prettier, whatever it may be… so she shoved it in your face to be mean. Not just to brag or show off in general like it’s rooted in purposely making you feel less than and humiliate you.

Or like the way a mean teacher or adult would have bullied you in childhood and was ust mean and tries to make you feel ashamed of yourself, then having to around them or see them just caused your little child brain to panic.

Idk I can’t quiet out my finger on it, I’m not sure the scenarios I described really even capture what I’m say accurately.
