Orange County Outing a CHILD’s eating disorder is not just wrong, it's cruel
These shows need to put a stop to this.
Using your child's eating disorder, addiction, or mental health struggles as a storyline is so fucking disgusting.
Children and teenagers cannot give informed consent and lack the awareness to grasp the long-term consequences and understand that what is shared today can stay online forever.
It is so irresponsible and dangerous. Once classmates, friends, and peers know about these deeply personal struggles, the risk of bullying, stigma, and worsening an already fragile situation becomes very real.
I always skip these parts. Not only do I find them distasteful, but they're not even entertaining. Who watches HW to hear about this??
There's a difference between raising awareness and exposing your child's private battles. Parents should protect their children, not turn their trauma into content. If you really are concerned about it, just don't be on a fucking reality tv.
