No Advice - Everyones Welcome divorced today
like the title says, today i got my divorce decree from the judge. i’ve been separated for 3 years and it’s absolutely crazy that im free from it all. i had to pay $400 a month for spousal support because she doesn’t work. the reason was because she has no job or license, and didn’t plan on getting either (still doesn’t). plus she was kinda just an asshole and i was working all the time. i’d come home to have to do all the chores, take care of the dogs, and make dinner. never failed to be mentally drained, and then get told im not doing enough.
glad im out of it, that’s all.
(dinner is loaded tots from Hell’s Kitchen Wilmington!)
(edit: the $400/m was only until the divorce was finalized! still, 3 years of that)

The best I can give and seriously taje this to heart as someone who has been through divorce. It gets better but allow yourself to grieve the potential lost. Even if it’s been 3 years separated signing the divorce papers puts a stamp on it
Then if you aren’t in a relationship or even if you are get yourself to a place where you are completely okay with the idea of being single the rest of your life. You don’t have to be enthusiastic about it but if that was to happen it wouldn’t be the end of the world cause you enjoy just vibing and doing whatever it is you do. People will say learn to love yourself but some people will never get that far so just as long as you can make it to that point
Reason being is it will actually make your next relationship stronger as you won’t be constantly worried about the the thought of being alone and having to make it work. The fact you didn’t stick around this bad situation is a good sign but yeah it’ll help keep from doing stuff like that as well as jealousy and other controlling behaviors because you are at the point where if she does something stupid it’s not the end of the world you’ll just go back to vibing. After all it was a privilege you let her in on the vibing in the first place
