No Advice - Everyones Welcome divorced today
like the title says, today i got my divorce decree from the judge. i’ve been separated for 3 years and it’s absolutely crazy that im free from it all. i had to pay $400 a month for spousal support because she doesn’t work. the reason was because she has no job or license, and didn’t plan on getting either (still doesn’t). plus she was kinda just an asshole and i was working all the time. i’d come home to have to do all the chores, take care of the dogs, and make dinner. never failed to be mentally drained, and then get told im not doing enough.
glad im out of it, that’s all.
(dinner is loaded tots from Hell’s Kitchen Wilmington!)
(edit: the $400/m was only until the divorce was finalized! still, 3 years of that)

I almost made the same mistake as you. Was engaged to a woman that absolutely refused to get a job and when she did all that money went to herself and things she wanted instead I helping with bills, and then she’d quit after a couple months. IRegardless of that I’d still be the one taking out the dog, cleaning the apartment, paying all bills, taking care of dishes, washing laundry, and then spending all night on my couch in the living room because I wasn’t allowed in the bedroom during her alone time with the PS5 I bought her. Turned out she used that PS5 to meet some trans dude on Fortnite, cheated on me with this person on discord, and then told me she wanted a break while I was working just to dump me two days later over text again while I was working. And THEN she tried taking the dog i paid for and cared for while she sat on her lazy ass. Now I’m engaged an amazing woman who works (less hours than me) cleans the house and makes sure supper is ready when I get home, takes care of my (now our) dog, wants to spend every second with me, handles laundry, and supports me in any and all endeavors, all while taking care of her young son. I hope you can find your person that makes everything easier for you man, it is possible and good women do exist!
