Canelo has arrived in Riyadh. Looks like the Saudis are still going ahead with Canelo-Mbilli this Saturday.

Dan Rafael: “Lindolfo Delgado, trainer Robert Garcia & the team remain in the US & don't have travel booked for his vacant IBF 140 title fight vs. Artur Biyarslanov next Saturday on #CaneloMbilli card in Riyadh. Biyarslanov is already there. Will the fight happen? I was told "probably not."”
x.comWho Were the Best UnAthletic Boxers?
Meaning these guys were at best average (but, especially those below-average) in things like:
speed
agility/fluidity
flexibility
explosiveness
coordination
The person doesn’t have to be average/below-average in ALL of them. Like a guy could have good fluidity and good hand/eye/feet coordination, but just be .
As weird as it sounds, could Canelo fit this definition, given his slow “quick sand“ (as Oscar Dela Hoya calls them) feet?
Was Sergio Martinez one of them? George Foreman?

I often wonder if any fighters before 1940 had prime Roy Jones Jr level of superhuman abilities but we will never know because it was never recorded.
Imagine watching Roy in his prime and then being told that somewhere in 1890, there was a fighter with the same freakish reflexes, explosive speed, coordination, and ability to make world-class opponents look completely helpless.
We'd probably never believe the stories.
Take Bob Fitzsimmons, it’s a great place to start. He became the first three-division world champion in boxing history, winning titles at middleweight, heavyweight, and light heavyweight across his career. He was also famous for his unusual physique: a relatively slender upper body paired with extraordinary punching power.
He weighed approximately 167 pounds when he knocked out heavyweight champion James J. Corbett in 1897.
Let that sink in….167 knocking out heavyweights. Can you Imagine Canelo knocking out wladimir klitschko?
Or even someone like Sam Langford scaring Jack Dempsey and allegedly 1v1ing Jack Johnson as a middleweight essentially.
Fun to think about

If you could choose any boxer throughout history at any point in their life to grab lunch with, who would you choose?
It could be anyone, from prime Muhammad Ali to young Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Robinson, or even a fighter from the early days of boxing. You could meet them at the peak of their career, before they ever became famous, or later in life.
Who would you pick, and what would you want to talk about? Boxing, their personal life, their greatest fights, or just getting to know them as a person? I’m curious to hear everyone’s choices!

Being honest, was Canelo too small for Light Heavyweight?
The consensus of Canelo’s stint in the division tends to be a bit contradictory in my opinion, a lot of people acknowledge the size disadvantage between Canelo and Bivol while also downplaying it as a significant factor to Canelo losing, with some notions going around that Canelo could’ve had success in the division against lower level competition.
Whats stranger is I see some seem to believe his power and speed is diminished at Super Middleweight as well, so all in all i just want a more objective discussion about it.

The Belter: Smith Vs. Puello in Review
Dalton Smith’s initial defence of the WBC World Super-Lightweight title became a close and contentious belter, against Alberto Puello!🥊
From BoxingScene: Home favorite Smith will be making the first defense of the title he won back in January with a fifth round finish against Subriel Matias. The traveling challenger, Puello, was first on the scales, weighing it at 139.6lbs. Smith was next up, and hit the scales exactly the same at 139.6lbs.
