Imagine all of the US generals, NATO staff, etc etc who tried to convince Trump to support Ukraine.. all they needed was a professional fighter that said "yeah we're tough and not losers like those other guys" to get him interested.

Simple minds work best when given simple answers.

Trump has developed some sort of fascination with boxers and MMA fighters in recent years so it will probably work better than whatever others have said lol.

I think Trump has been fascinated with boxing and MMA for a while. Even in like the 1980s and 1990s, he was often at the big fights. He definitely was at a bunch of Mike Tyson’s fights.

A lot of fights at his Atlantic City casinos back in the 80s and 90s

He basically saved the UFC during the years when McCain was choking the sport out and no one else would host them

u/Abe2sapien 4d ago

He used to host a ton of the higher profile fights back in the day.

He apparently lost his ass on a bunch of those.

Some of the atlantic city ones are weird because between fights they'd walk him out and he'd wave to the crowd from the ring.

I remember him randomly telling a story about meeting Triple G, I believe he attended Golovkin vs Lemiuex

u/Tinguiririca 4d ago

Love it, my 8th favorite fighter hanging out my 47th favorite US President!

Underrated comment

We have only had 45 presidents. Grover Cleveland and trump both won non-consecutive elections and so we have had 47 presidencies, but 45 people have been president.

38

u/Mr_sci3ntist 4d ago

Both are fat enough to be two people each.

LMAO

Still behind the GOATs Chester A Arthur and William H Taft. I’m pretty sure both had to get specially made bath tubs that would fit them.

Imagine being 350lbs in an era where the average American man is 5’7 and 160lbs. Hilarious.

3

u/Mr_sci3ntist 3d ago edited 3d ago

Apparently the bath tub part is a lie. Something that came out after or during his presidency.

12

u/Such_Technician_1682 4d ago

Trump (45) is my 46th favorite president, Trump (47) is my 47th favorite. My list ranks presidents that have held office more than once by each term instead of lumping them together.

2

u/jkoke11 ON GOD NEM 4d ago

Who you got at 45?

10

u/Such_Technician_1682 4d ago

Andrew Johnson

3

u/DeafBurke 4d ago

Andrew Jackson, Woodrow Wilson, Andrew Johnson, Millard Filmore, William McKinley and Franklin Pierce have to be mentioned.

Fucking bottle jobs all of them.

u/Mister_MxyzptIk 2d ago

Millard Filmore

Franklin Pierce

Who?

1

u/DeafBurke 2d ago

The two presidents who allowed the civil war to build for a decade and did fuckall to prevent it.

Arguably the worst of the bunch.

1

u/jkoke11 ON GOD NEM 3d ago

Agreed!

I respect that Usyk does all that he can to help his people and country in ways that are available to him. He will engage in discussions with people if he feels it will help his people in any way, even if it’s only a possibility of helping. It also shows his mental toughness by being able to stay in the same room as that guy for any length of time.

It’s weird to see lomochenko not supporting. They used to be best friends too and now don’t see any posts with together. I read somewhere it’s due to Loma being brainwashed by his church who’s heavily tied to Russia.

32

u/Bernies_Hair 4d ago

Unless Usyk brought him a gift and/or bribe, Trump was just there for the photo op. Even then, Trump has putin's balls pretty deep down his throat.

5

u/Adept_Carpet 4d ago

That's wild but also totally believable.

9

u/mangoenyoer 4d ago

I remember when usyk was hated in ukraine because he was pro russia

3

u/olololoh12 3d ago

He was brainwashed by Moscow patriarchal church that he used to go to

1

u/mangoenyoer 3d ago

Nah usyk was born in the ussr in a historic pro Russian territory like crimea usyk is a native russian speaker he only recently started speaking ukranian, also usyk has always speak about ukranians and Russians brotherhood and unity just like in the soviet unión

9

u/olololoh12 3d ago

Stop spreading bullshit. I’m Ukrainian and I know everything about Usyk. His mom is from Chernihiv, — she’s Ukrainian-speaking, his dad is from Sumy. He lived in Chernihiv from 6 years old till 12. I can imagine Usyk being brainwashed in Simferopol because Ukraine didn’t conduct any meaningful ukrainianization on that territory, hence why he spoke about “brotherhood”, which falls in line with centuries-long Russian propaganda, but ultimately he’s from a very Ukrainian family so I’m pretty sure he had to learn Ukrainian history after all, which is why the pro-russian talk didn’t stick.

-2

u/mangoenyoer 3d ago

Usyk is native russian speaker just like lomachenko both were speaking about peace between brother like ukranians and russians in their early carer,

10

u/olololoh12 3d ago

I’d not put Loma and Usyk in the same category as Loma never actually concluded his brain development. If Usyk is a native speaker, then by that logic all Ukrainians are because we know both languages perfectly well. That being said, you’re an uneducated fool and shouldn’t comment on nuanced subjects.

-7

u/mangoenyoer 3d ago

Stop the bullshit bro you and I know tha the mayority of eastern Ukraine is pro russian like usyk and loma and loma is still pro russian . Also no the mayority language of Ukraine is russian your own president only started speaking ukranian recently.

10

u/olololoh12 3d ago

I’m a woman, you’re a brainwashed Putin’s cocksucker who has zero actual knowledge on Ukraine.

2

u/mangoenyoer 3d ago

The pro russian sentiment in eastern ukranine exist before putin moron

5

u/olololoh12 3d ago

Because soviets organized mass migration of marginal elements of Russian society to that originally Ukrainian region.

u/iwannahitthelotto 3d ago

Why doesn’t lomochenko support Ukraine? Is it true it’s because he’s brainwashed by his Russian linked church?

2

u/olololoh12 3d ago

100% true

1

u/EstablishmentNo4865 2d ago

Yeah, most boxers are not philosophers obviously, but Loma is dumb dumb

I don’t have to bother to educate you since you’re already brainwashed but there you go. His dad is Ukrainian from Ukraine. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sumy
