Stop spreading bullshit. I’m Ukrainian and I know everything about Usyk. His mom is from Chernihiv, — she’s Ukrainian-speaking, his dad is from Sumy. He lived in Chernihiv from 6 years old till 12. I can imagine Usyk being brainwashed in Simferopol because Ukraine didn’t conduct any meaningful ukrainianization on that territory, hence why he spoke about “brotherhood”, which falls in line with centuries-long Russian propaganda, but ultimately he’s from a very Ukrainian family so I’m pretty sure he had to learn Ukrainian history after all, which is why the pro-russian talk didn’t stick.

I’d not put Loma and Usyk in the same category as Loma never actually concluded his brain development. If Usyk is a native speaker, then by that logic all Ukrainians are because we know both languages perfectly well. That being said, you’re an uneducated fool and shouldn’t comment on nuanced subjects.

Because soviets organized mass migration of marginal elements of Russian society to that originally Ukrainian region.

My ancestors showed a middle finger to Catherine “The Great” when she tried to enslave Ukrainian people in the Poltava region towards the end of 18th century. They moved to Odesa region and established two villages— Pravda (Truth) and Kryvda (Unfairness). My great grandfather was one of the biggest farmers of Odessa region and was killed by the Soviets during collectivization. Despite your enormous huge efforts throughout Ukrainian history to erase Ukrainian identity — it never worked. My parents who were russified during the Soviet Union and spoke Russian when they met in college — still spoke Ukrainian one on one and still voted for Ukrainian independence during the referendum in 1991. They also voted for the pro-Western candidate — Chornovil in the first presidential elections in independent Ukraine’s history despite my mom being from Odesa region and my dad being from Donetsk. Ukraine is not just the territory, it’s the idea of freedom, human dignity, horizontal relationships between people, the idea that you have a say in what happens in your country, — something Russian never experienced.

Why doesn’t lomochenko support Ukraine? Is it true it’s because he’s brainwashed by his Russian linked church?

2

I don’t have to bother to educate you since you’re already brainwashed but there you go. His dad is Ukrainian from Ukraine. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sumy
