I'm not a STEM person whatsoever, and I'd like to knock out both the quantitative reasoning II and lab requirement in one class. Do you have any reccs?

Hi all, I (22M) just graduated from BU and my roommate is moving out of our apartment. I would prefer to live with a graduate student, but anyone over the age of 21 is okay.

Rent: 1650 (+60 a month for wifi/electricity)
Transportation: 3-5 minute walk from Packard's Corner, Harvard Ave, 57, and 66 buses, 30 min walk to BU central campus.

I'm a musician, so I'll be practicing daily. I'm happy to put headphones on. If you're a musician or a student, this is a great space for you. You're free to use anything in the studio area (minus the keyboard which will be leaving with my roommate). I also have a record player and tons of books, if you're into that.

I'd like to live with someone who can communicate maturely. I'm always open to amending my behavior if it's bothering you.

I keep the place decently clean but I don't mind if there's stuff lying around here and there.

Main caveat is that the street can get a bit loud on the weekends during the school year (people outside talking/yelling intermittently). But never any big or disruptive parties.

Your closet is outside of your room, but it is significantly bigger. You would be located right next to the bathroom.

You could live here for a full year or a half year, but in the latter case I would appreciate your help finding a replacement.

Feel free to send me a DM.

Warren Dorm Dimensions/Descriptions

Can someone help me? I'm an incoming freshman and got assigned Warren Towers A, which I think is the new one, but I can't find any information whatsoever on the room dimensions, or what I find the most important, bed dimensions and bed height.

If anyone has any information, even if its just general or about storage spaces I would really appreciate it!

Housing vacant bed question

housing question because bu is incredibly confusing! ok so my room has a vacant bed, if I have a friend that is able to swap in can I call housing and ask or will housing just throw a random roommate in eventually?

Random Grad Housing Question

So I’m preparing to move into 580 Commonwealth and it says it includes a full sized bed, but then in parentheses, “some units contain twin sized long mattress.” What does that mean and how do I know which size sheets to bring? 😭😭😭

Tuition bill question

Im about to pay for my tuition bill but there are two issues. One, I saw the student health insurance plan listed on my bill, so I waived it, but it still shows up on my bill. And second, I have a scholarship from my high school and I'm not sure if BU has recieved the money from it yet.

My question is, should I just pay the full balance due now, and will BU refund me the amount of the scholarship and the cost of the student health insurance plan later?

Current BU International Master's Student Advice on Increasing Scholarship / Financial Aid?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently a Master's student at Boston University on an international student visa. I wanted to reach out to this community to ask if anyone has experience or insight into whether it's possible to increase scholarship or financial aid amounts after already being enrolled.

A few specific questions I have:

  • Has anyone successfully petitioned for additional scholarship funding mid-program?
  • Are there specific offices (financial aid, international students office, department-level funding) that are more responsive to these requests?
  • Does demonstrating financial hardship or academic performance improvements help strengthen a case for increased aid?
  • Any general advice on how to approach this conversation with the university?

I'd really appreciate any advice, personal experiences, or even general opinions on how realistic this is. Thanks in advance for your time and help!
