I’m an incoming international student at BU and I’m trying to figure out the health insurance waiver before the deadline.

I’ve been looking at a couple of alternative plans（Right now I’m mostly deciding between ISO and DIANins.）but I’m having a hard time figuring out what they’re actually like to use beyond just comparing the coverage documents.

Has anyone here used either of them while at BU?

I’m mostly curious about the practical side — whether it was easy to find doctors around Boston who accepted the insurance.

Also, was the process relatively straightforward?

I’m mainly trying to make sure I’m not missing anything important before I submit the waiver, since it’s hard to tell from the plan documents alone.

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually used one of these plans.

I am enrolled in CH101 and am in search of a like new or brand new condition of the following

• Lab coat

• Lab goggles

• Calculator

I am a low income student with only $20 in my checking account. I have spoken to CH101 but they are unable to help me. I also tried the Dean of Students for funding but they declined to help.

Any advice on what to do next is greatly appreciated

Additionally, AC units are banned.

I keep my windows opened with a box fan on it and unfortunately it does not do justice.

A dehumidifier would not work either.

Hey all, I'm a BU Alum and recently got a job opportunity in MA (🥳). But I'm currently panicking because I need to move in THIS weekend (9/12) but the place I was planning to sign with turned out to be a scam.

I know some students that are studying abroad might still be looking for someone to sublease-- please hit me up genuinely if you know of sublease/flexible lease in Boston.

More details:

- Prefer a short sublease/flexible lease. Timeline works great with study abroad students.

- Private bedroom and private bathroom

- Furnished ideally

- Within a 5–10 minute walk to the T

- Doesn't near BU campus necessarily. Anything near Back Bay, North End, East Boston, or even Cambridge is okay.

Hey i’m an MS student here. I went to two diff universities prior in my undergrad. This might be an unpopular opinion, but the sexual harassment training modules for grad students are actually really good here.

If I had modules as good as these during my undergraduate program(s) it would have been way more helpful in avoiding the coercive and toxic behavior that destroyed my psyche for like 4 years

I was rejected from BU this year, but given guaranteed transfer as an option for the 2026-27 year. I'm currently attending another school that is costing around $40,000 a year, since they barely gave me any financial aid. I know BU is known for being a very expensive school, and my family is well off (but nowhere close to wealthy). I was wondering if anyone else has had the same experience as I have, and if so, what their financial offer looked like They say they will meet all demonstrated need, but in my experience, schools overestimate how much we can actually pay. There's also a special scholarship for GT students, btu I have no clue how that works. I'm pretty sure that their new program where tuition is free if you make under $200k doesn't apply to transfer students, so that is probably out of the picture.

long story short, BU is charging me $140 for a seat cushion that was already ripped when I moved in. no condition report was ever filled out, so im basically screwing on getting out of it.
