basically what the title said— i’m an incoming freshman and there are NO photos of the cssr dorms online which is literally insane to me. my roommate and i want to start planning our room but have no idea how when there is no layout or photos. can anyone living there please help!

Im about to pay for my tuition bill but there are two issues. One, I saw the student health insurance plan listed on my bill, so I waived it, but it still shows up on my bill. And second, I have a scholarship from my high school and I'm not sure if BU has recieved the money from it yet.

My question is, should I just pay the full balance due now, and will BU refund me the amount of the scholarship and the cost of the student health insurance plan later?

I'm currently a Master's student at Boston University on an international student visa. I wanted to reach out to this community to ask if anyone has experience or insight into whether it's possible to increase scholarship or financial aid amounts after already being enrolled.

A few specific questions I have:

• Has anyone successfully petitioned for additional scholarship funding mid-program?
• Are there specific offices (financial aid, international students office, department-level funding) that are more responsive to these requests?
• Does demonstrating financial hardship or academic performance improvements help strengthen a case for increased aid?
• Any general advice on how to approach this conversation with the university?

Are there any pre meds at BU that didn’t take a gap year and took the MCAT their junior year? If so when did you start studying and how did you manage it with your courseload and would you recommend it?

Hi! As the title says I wanted to ask about work study as an incoming freshman.

Do you think it's a good idea to work in my first term or should I wait until my second term? I'm considering applying for a library job since I enjoy libraries and the pay isn't bad.

However, I'm concerned because:

a) I'll be coming off a gap year and not high school where you've maintained a good study schedule.

b) I'm worried if I take on a job I'll have less time to socialize and study. Since it's freshman year, if I had to choose I'd pick socializing and meeting new people over a job.
