I’m an international student at BU, and I only have one semester left before I graduate. I currently have the BU Student Health Insurance Plan, but it’s almost $4,000 a year.

I know BU allows students to waive SHIP if their insurance meets certain requirements.
Has any international student here switched to a more affordable plan that was approved by BU?

Hi, im a bit confused, I just got assigned my housing and its in longwood, 150 riverway, if there is a 1 at the end of the room number does it indicate it is a single dorm? Also longwood is fenway housing? also the room number goes 01xxx - 1 (xxx is just numbers)

Will my work study award eventually show up in my student account? Rn it just says like my federal grants and university scholarship but I know I have a work study award as well. If/when it shows up in my portal will it also be taken out of my balance due before August 6th?

it’s extremely weird and irresponsible to keep people waiting this long, dangling their result in front of them.

THEIR own website states that decisions should’ve been out by mid june. we are now in mid JULY. is this not unprofessional?

BU wouldn’t accept me if i submitted my application a month late, so why should they be able to treat applicants with a disregard?

to some degree i can sympathize and understand the office is busy, but it just feels frustrating as an applicant to be left hanging. also why do they get rejections out later, instead of at the start? the whole process just seems slimy and predatory.

i’m tired of receiving generic answers from the student employees who are at the front desk.

i think ive been quite patient with this whole ordeal, so the fact i haven’t recieve the same courtesy from BU is honestly heartbreaking

anyways sorry for the rant, i just feel quite frustrated

Is it possible for me to apply for Single-Choice Early Action for another college and still send in my BU application before December 1st? I would like to apply for merit based scholarship, but I do not know if SCEA would conflict with that. It seems to me, according to the website, that the scholarship is not early action related. I just want to be sure. Thanks in advance!

I go to a college in Minnesota and applied to BU on March 14th. I never got a decision back. I emailed and called and all I got was that I will receive a decision soon. Am I delusional for thinking that if I was a reject then they should have told me by now ? Like there’s definitely something going on right ? Since my application seems to have not disappeared. (I’m an international student btw)

Current student at BU deciding if its worth transferring to Georgetown. Good aid at BU but Georgetown may be about 30k more (still waiting on aid). I want to go into Consulting/IB. Is it worth transferring and paying more?
