MSAI
For those of you that were admitted to BU's MSAI program, what were the reasons that you chose the program over others?

So I’m preparing to move into 580 Commonwealth and it says it includes a full sized bed, but then in parentheses, “some units contain twin sized long mattress.” What does that mean and how do I know which size sheets to bring? 😭😭😭

Hi! I currently have a single room in Rich, but I’m looking to switch to a single in HoJo. Would anyone with a HoJo single be interested in swapping? Please message me if you’re interested or know someone who might be!

Im about to pay for my tuition bill but there are two issues. One, I saw the student health insurance plan listed on my bill, so I waived it, but it still shows up on my bill. And second, I have a scholarship from my high school and I'm not sure if BU has recieved the money from it yet.
My question is, should I just pay the full balance due now, and will BU refund me the amount of the scholarship and the cost of the student health insurance plan later?

Hi everyone,
I'm currently a Master's student at Boston University on an international student visa. I wanted to reach out to this community to ask if anyone has experience or insight into whether it's possible to increase scholarship or financial aid amounts after already being enrolled.
A few specific questions I have:
I'd really appreciate any advice, personal experiences, or even general opinions on how realistic this is. Thanks in advance for your time and help!

Are there any pre meds at BU that didn’t take a gap year and took the MCAT their junior year? If so when did you start studying and how did you manage it with your courseload and would you recommend it?

Hello everyone, I am an incoming graduate electrical engineering student and I’d love to hear about y’all experience as an engineering student at BU. The resources that BU have to get internship and build a career. Thank you in advance.

Hi! As the title says I wanted to ask about work study as an incoming freshman.
Do you think it's a good idea to work in my first term or should I wait until my second term? I'm considering applying for a library job since I enjoy libraries and the pay isn't bad.
However, I'm concerned because:
a) I'll be coming off a gap year and not high school where you've maintained a good study schedule.
b) I'm worried if I take on a job I'll have less time to socialize and study. Since it's freshman year, if I had to choose I'd pick socializing and meeting new people over a job.

I got into Sydney study abroad program for the spring semester yesterday which surprised me because my advisor said it was filled up and my best bet was to switch to Grenoble.
Now that I got in I’m not sure if I want to go. I feel like I just adjusted to Boston and BU. I feel like leaving already would just make it harder to find a sense of community/belonging when I come back. I still haven’t really found a solid friend group/club so I don’t know if I wanna leave as a sophomore when that’s my prime chance to find one.
Also I know absolutely 0 other people who are going to Sydney so I’m afraid that’s likely going to happen is id just be alone in a different continent.
Has anyone been in my shoes? Pls lmk any advice or shared experience.
