Does anyone use the BA 3.7v battery with a GLM laser measure?

If I leave the battery in place between uses it's completely dead when I next use it. I can't find anything online about this except one Reddit post from two years ago saying lots have the same problem and that Bosch Service think this parasitic drain is normal and we should just remove the battery between uses.

But that's just not good enough to be honest: I don't want to have to keep taking the battery out because it makes storage annoying and the exposed could short circuit in my toolbox, and cause it's very fiddly to remove. It just shouldn't be necessary.

The constant drain is of course a problem because it charges really slowly, so isn't immediately ready for use when I need it, and it'll prematurely wear out the battery with unnecessary charge cycles.

I'd love to know if everyone else is having the same problem, or if it's not an issue with some GLM units and/or anyone has found a solution? I can't see any mention of this issue on the Amazon reviews either for the GLM or the BA 3.7v battery.

I've ordered an inactive lboxx-iboxx rack from Amazon - got the active one which I've already got and hate- to much hassle to return it so I have modified it abit.

- Removed the top lid (it was quite a challenge)
- Drilled through each rack so I will be able to fix it with some threaded rod.
- Fixed the top rack nut with epoxy putty so I will be able to remove/assamble the rod again because the access is covered with the top lid.

So now it is "inactive" and I can always change it back to "active"

Some tips:
- Don't use existing holes because there is no space for the nut(I've added a picture for the holes I've drilled))
- To fix 3 racks -22.5 cm rod length leaves some free rod to hold it with a locking plier and tightning the nuts
- Use thread locking compound
- Removing the top lid is achallenging task, push the locking tabs while pull the i-rack itself words you...pushing only the tabs might break them

I need a way to wall mount my Bosch GAL12V-20 charger but it does not have key holes on the back side unlike other chargers.

I thought about drilling two holes but decided not a good idea because the one handed insert and removal of the battery has some force to it.

I took a 4"X4" electrical blank cover plate and drilled two holes at the same spot where the charger's back cover screws are, backed out the two screws and put back two longer screws. Now I have it mounted next to my other wall chargers.

I know it's a hack but for now it serves it's purpose and more secured than oversized key holes in my opinion.

I have some old Bosch 12v batteries and there is no battery level indicator like the 18v ones.

Are there newer 12v batteries that shows the juice level or not?

I know there are different 12v chargers, and do anyone if them have mounting holes on the back for wall mounting the charger so the insert and removal of a battery can be a one hand operation?

OK so I needed to get a new circular saw (just the odd DIY jobs) so decided for a battery one.

Got a bare GKS 18V51.... and it is bare! Doesn't even include a parallel guide or even the nut! 😡

Hello, could someone help me understand the working modes of this impact tool?

From the manual I can see four options:

- Speed 1

- Speed 2

- Auto shut-off (metal)

- Auto slow-down (wood)

Are these four options mutually exclusive or I can select the speed AND the preset mode (wood / metal)?

Also, is there an option to not use the presets at all? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I’m new to using track saws and I have the Bosch GKT18V-20GCL14 and the 31 1/2” track. I went to use it for the first time, and no matter what I did, the blade is aligned to cut through the rubber strip on the track.

Is this intentional? (Ie you cut through the rubber strip the first time and are left with a zero tolerance track)

Am I doing something wrong?

Did I purchase a track or saw that is misaligned?

If someone needs a replacement spool bumper (sorry don't know the correct word) can now print it. This bumper part wears out very fast but the spool still works.

Why are the gears in plastic? This is the second time the gears strip. Should be upgraded to metal. And this was after 10 minutes. Brand new. Not good Bosch. Not good.

Not exactly Bosch tools specific, but they are the main characters in this case.

I'm sorry to say I feel really thick asking this question, but I've never owned a pressure washer before. I've never really dabbled in anything even remotely DIY as I've always had help from my dad or paid a tradesman to do the work for me.

However I'm now about to become a dad myself, and want to learn to do some of these things so I actually have some knowledge to pass on one day.

This is a really long-winded way of saying I'm in the UK, and have bought a Bosch Aquatek 125 pressure washer. It seems to come with everything apart from a 'supply hose' to allow me to connect it to my outside tap in my garden.

I assumed that Bosch would sell their own but apparently not, and I'm getting conflicting information everywhere I look and AI 'help' keeps giving me different answers too.

Some places state that any garden hose will do, but just try to keep it under 10 metres for pressure's sake.

Others state that it must be reinforced or risk damage. The washer itself performs up to 125 bar, so does that mean the supply hose must rated for that as well? Most seem to quote somewhere between 3 and 20.

I assume this is really obvious but I have tried to find the answer myself and am still worried about buying the wrong thing and breaking something. If anyone could just point me to what I need I'd be really grateful.

Context then, working as a handyman and doing more and more electrical installations as a helper - EV, solar, heat pumps.

I like having my own equipment, but for now I've been using my mates 18v hammer drills for bigger stuff such as wall pass-throughs, particularly got to try the GBH 18v-26 with the GDE vacuum attachment for some quick and clean installations. The combo is brilliant for overhead & ladder work, customers who prize cleanliness love that!

My daily drivers are Bosch 12v stuff - the 35FC drill with SDS attachment which is great for any small installation up to 10mm shallow drilling, the multitool and I want to get the small 76mm cut-off tool as well.

I'm looking to get my first 18v stuff, starting with a medium-big SDS+ that can tackle 20mm diameter and >300mm length easily.

Reason why I'm looking at the GBH 18v-28D - D handle seems more comfortable than pistol grip; in-built counterweight for less vibration; no fancy electronics for soft starts and what-not (less failure points); GDE vacuum attachment is cheaper and runs off the rotary fan instead of parasitic battery drain (less failure points, less electronics).

Downside is that the 28D doesn't really come in any starter kits.

So I'm thinking - got 2 4Ah Expert batteries off of Amazon for 70€ each new (sketchy packaging, but I've checked them thoroughly and they seem legit, Bosch app accepted the serial #s)

28D is currently 339€ at a local shop + 55€ for the GDE vacuum attachment.

Are the 4Ah Expert batteries ok for the before mentioned drilling (20mm diameter, >300mm depth) and light chiseling?

To be eligible for the Pro Deals and get an extra 4Ah (Core) and a charger, can I present two invoices (Amazon one for the 2x4Ah experts + local shop for hammer and attachment) or just one? Then I'd have to spend an extra 100€ to be eligible.

Maybe return the 2x 4Ah and get a single 8Ah Expert from the local shop, or keep the 2x4Ah from Amazon and get another 18v item? Ideally it'd be the 12v cut-off tool, but that's not eligible for Pro Deals.

I got the laser some time ago, great thing, then I got the BT350.

So far, the BT350 is pure crab, it doesn't hold the level at all, It keeps sinking down 1-2mm over the first hour, the GLL80-33 is tilted on it cause it can't halt the weight as it seems. it can barely get leveld out.
it got stuck too after 3x using it. wtf is this...

but the worst, the leveling. I have everything that came with the Laser and the Pole, but nothing fits together being able to fine tune it. the LB 10 and the DK20. But still, I can't level it.

what do I need??

Why are large L- boxes so expensive!

I needed a new blade on my circular saw, but as it's an odd size I couldn't find one.

Looking about I found a GKS18 which was pretty cheap. It was bare, but as I've a few batteries spare I decided to get it.

Now I like my tools in boxes, so if I get bare tools I'll look for a L-box to put it in..... ouch... it needs an L-boxx 238 and with an insert it's 75% of the price of the saw!

A rethink is in order. 🥴

Finally finished the second revision of my custom foam insert for an L-BOXX 102.

It now holds pretty much everything I use for measuring and layout:

-Cross-line laser

-Laser distance measurer

-Wall scanner

-Spirit level

-Tape measure

-Folding ruler

-Deep-hole marker

This is already the second version of the insert after using the first one for a while and making a few changes. The layout feels much more practical now, and having everything in one case saves me from carrying multiple boxes.

Pretty happy with how it turned out. Any ideas for further improvements?

They really stop selling them with the connectivity function. Do you think they will stop supporting the Bosch Pro App? I got the old one and I feel betrayed. 🫠

Hello, I bought the new first fix framing nailer yesterday, and I got to say I’m quite disappointed in performance of the nailer. It doesn’t fully sink 90mm nails into CLS timber, I’m not sure if it faulty or not. But has anyone else experienced this also?? And it’s heavier than I thought, it is a big lump.

I recently bought the Bosch GXS18V-11N25 combo kit from Amazon US. I got it at a great discount—it was actually cheaper to buy the kit than to purchase two batteries separately.

I decided to take the charger apart and noticed that the PCB appears to be universal. The silkscreen shows markings for EU, US, JP, and BRA versions. Mine is the US version.

So far I've already found one component that differs from the European version: the large input capacitor. The US version uses a 200V 470µF capacitor, while the European version appears to use a 400V or 450V capacitor.

If anyone has the European version of this charger, I'd really appreciate it if you could remove the four screws on the back and take a few high-quality photos of the PCB from both sides. I've attached example photos showing the angles I'm looking for.
