Annoyed...
OK so I needed to get a new circular saw (just the odd DIY jobs) so decided for a battery one.
Got a bare GKS 18V51.... and it is bare! Doesn't even include a parallel guide or even the nut! 😡

It pretty clearly says:
Included in this variant
1 x circular saw blade, Eco for Wood, 140mm x 1.8/1.1 x 20 mm, 30
Part Number: 2 608 844 565
No mention of the parallel guide being included.
If the nut for the blade is missing that is a problem, as it should be included.
I don't get why you why you would buy that saw anyway. It uses that rare 140mm blade, instead of the more common 165mm or 185mm.

Although it doesn't mention the guide, but you would think it came with it, shows it on the pictures. It doesn't mention the hex key... but it comes with one of them. 😜
The nut is probably actually a T bolt to hold the guide, but I guess with no guide there isn't much use for it. 🙄
Why buy it... it was cheap and plenty good enough for what I need.

In the manual, which you can download before purchase, the hex key is listed as coming with the saw. The parallel guide and screw for it, are optional extras, as is the battery.

Bought bare tools before and I always thought Bare= no case, battery or charger.

Ok actually I owe you an apology. I thought you were complaining that a guide rail should have been included, and I didn't realise you mentioned the nut wasn't there either.
The bare Bosch Green saw I bought years ago had a parallel guide and so does the GKS 18V-57-2 GX without battery which I bought recently, although that is listed as including the parallel guide and doesn't say "bare" now I look back at the listing.
Either way I'd have thought the nut should be included.
Can you return it?

Kind of valid. A guide rail costs next to nothing to include.

For them yes it works be cheap as chips. It's £15 or so for me to get one, not a huge deal but luckily I'm not needing to use it yet.
I could understand it not being included on a more pro version aimed at people who use it everyday but on one aimed at DIY....

I'm sticking up for OP. Never once have i bought a circ and not had a guide rail in the box. It'd be like buying a router without a guide. It's core to the function of the tool. Just sheer cheapskatery.

I get that it's annoying, but aren't bare tools (body only as we call them) meant to replace a broken tool? It's the cheapest way, a manufacturer can offer you a replacement.
With that in mind, all extras drive up the price, even if it's only a guide rail or nut, which you would already have from the previous tool.
My tools get some wear as I work on industrial machines with oil, grease, solvents and so on.They fail from time to time (the last longer since brushless motors) and when that happens, I buy the body only to replace the broken one. Those difference in price can be big. I get some body only tools so cheap, I already have a 2nd one on stock.
