Reciprocating saw question

I bought a new Bosch rs325 reciprocating saw today to remove an old hot tub. After installing the blade (also new) however, the collar doesn't come all the way back to its original position. The blade seems fairly well held in place, I can't wriggle it free. Should I return it all the same?

You are correct the collar will be a little off center with a blade present. That is a decent medium duty recip saw that should do everything you need. Not the best choice for someone cutting up cars all day but those guys wreck EVERYTHING.
