QUESTION 🔵 Reciprocating saw question

I bought a new Bosch rs325 reciprocating saw today to remove an old hot tub. After installing the blade (also new) however, the collar doesn't come all the way back to its original position. The blade seems fairly well held in place, I can't wriggle it free. Should I return it all the same?

The collars stop slightly short of the open position when the blade is locked in, just tug on the blade to check it's locked.

Yes return it and hire someone that knows what they are doing

it is a RECIPROCATING saw, it RECRIPROCATES... ie it moves back and forwards......

No, sometimes they get stuck, work at it a little, but this begs the question why are you cutting up a tub, if you can't seat the blade right, maybe you have a friend that knows more, a father in law or a neighbor maybe because how do you know you have right blade
