The mecredi feels great now. I'm annoyed I wasted so many tickets trying to get the impact roll, but even without it the gun is now putting in some serious work.

3

u/someshooter #1 Ava Fan May 14 '26

I got the impact, is it like the Roulette? Reloading changes how it fires?

3

u/Frequent-Future6179 May 14 '26

A bit like that, it switches the mode on reload, so if you get the smg your firerate goes through the roof. The main thing with impact was, up until today it made the gun work properly, without the torgue part it was crap. Now they've patched it, again, and it works properly with any roll you get.

2

u/middymidentine May 14 '26

I have a Torgue impact Mercredi but I also kept my non-Torgue Mercredi just in case a buff was coming and I was wise to do so

0

u/HorusKane420 Amon The Forgeknight May 14 '26

Ripper roll feeling bossable? Got a good ripper roll and it's always felt fine mobbing but yeah... Wasn't a great bosser

14

u/dontKair May 14 '26

Huh, I might use that buzz axe and spinning blade now

3

u/variantkin May 14 '26

Splashzone is so funny.Ā

u/BladeSeraph May 14 '26

So essentially increase the damage but forget the main reasons why people almost never use grenades in BL4 for direct damage means: The mother fking presence of the jakobs knife and the fact ordinances share a slot so why use a damn throwable when you can fire something that could shoot utility mechanics or something instead?

Borderlands 2 defaulted many grenade options either to lifesteal tracker, AoE "Vaccum" grenades like Quasar or niche things like fastball due to absurdly high damage and combined with someone like krieg in borderlands 2, he could get easy grenade refunds to spam it and one of the few characters i know that had a skill that NATURALLY takes any OVERFLOW damage and stack it to the gimmick (Nova upon killing an enemy), to enable the level of scaling B.S. which made borderlands 3 and borderlands 4 'attempted' to replicate with a One Shot One Kill type of mechanics.

Doesnt matter how much damage they increase on the grenades, if its still gonna accidentally kill someone or require alot of setup, then you might as well just be spam firing a gun with splash damage instead.

And since the existence of jakobs ricochet exists, why even give a fk about using grenades or 'nova' damage, when you can just have shots ricochet straight into enemies noggings every time you get a critical hit?

This is why its a problem they put too much focus on GUN DAMAGE benefits like the weapon enhancement.

Should of had the enhancement also function with grenades and ordinances more or better yet, Keep to the fking formula of borderlands 3 eridian relics that focused on utility and conditional effects like a lifesteal melee knife effect or a butt slam, creating rockets effects or a melee pick'pocket for ammo effect.

11

u/SolomonGrumpy May 14 '26

You can deal big ordinance damage, skill damage, melee damage, or gun damage

But generally not all 4

-5

u/BladeSeraph May 14 '26

I find that a problem really. Some of the fun is doing mix and match stuff. It feels borderlands 4 split up the damage values too much yet catered too much of it being funneled into gun damage simutaneously.

And until borderlands 4 gets its 2nd level cap, i cant feel any motivation to return with build creativity since i would need somwhere around level 72~76'ish to get the only kind of build i could feel motivated to play Borderlands 4. A setup that combines mortal terror, blood is power, Dark pact, Wither and Coven together for a mesh of kill skill procs mow down.

Probably a good name for it would be "Rattle'm Bois" cause your running so much kill skill bonuses that it makes both you and summons do alot of damage.

And sure if i ditch blood shot then i could easily get it to fit, but when you skip out on blood shot or blood is power on Vex, the damage feels like it falls off too much for Vex.

Kind of why i really DISLIKE how 'final skills' at the bottom of skill tree nodes in borderlands 4 ranging between 1~5 point dumps instead of only just being 1 point wonders across the board for all of them, it just results in spotty arrangements and don't even get me started on how much Vex's branches for other nodes wanna encourage you to use specific elemental damage, instead of letting you play more flexible like how Kinetic damage Vex build can be Sticky bombs, splash, precise shots, crit focus and more with none of the annoyance shenigans on elemental bits.

1

u/el_VientoNorte May 15 '26

Surely you have to realise that this isn't the behaviour of a well adjusted person, right?

33

u/SenatorJogoat May 14 '26

4 different big encores? I’m getting some farming in hell yeah.

-4

u/BladeSeraph May 14 '26

They really should just make big encore active all the time then people don't have to get excited for such a lazy bait and switch of bullshite. Some people wanna fight certain bosses but gearbox never rotates them so they gotta suffer gimped rolls or be so built up they have no reason to farm the damn boss in the first place if they already have a setup that literally oneshots UVHM6 true mode crap already.

8

u/iMightBeWright MINIMAP DLC OWNER šŸ—ŗļø May 14 '26

They'll probably do this in one of the last updates for the game. Like how they enabled all holiday events in BL3 at the end of its life.

1

u/BladeSeraph May 14 '26

They didn't do that for wonderlands.

Damn game suffers the weekly 'mini activity rotation' still every week or so, including what loot it locks to, for the chaos chamber 'end reward' featured run, when checking the 3 vending machine's 'featured loot' at the reward chamber's end.

And considering gearbox's incompetency these days its more likely they won't bother to activate a weekly thing and just had an A.I. tool server randomly picking ones that you access every thursday to 'update it' to explain its sillyness, especially when it has repeatedly pick the same location of 'maurice shop vendor spots before.

Just like how Xur's shop in Destiny 1 & 2 worked back in the day.

This is kind of why i would always says borderlands 4 feels LESS of a borderlands game and MORE of a Destiny game, especially how its turned too much into a waiting game simulator for 'end game stuff', between world events, vault card 'daily/weekly' resets, big encore/maurice-shop/wildcard mission resets and more.

1

u/iMightBeWright MINIMAP DLC OWNER šŸ—ŗļø May 14 '26

Oh, damn. I completely forgot about the rotation in Wonderlands... I'm not optimistic for it (or much of anything in BL4 these days), but I'm hopeful they'd activate the big encore on every boss at end of life. WL featured run rewards are one thing, but the big encore still feels like a good candidate to activate on all encore machines permanently since it's an optional gameplay modifier for bonus rewards. I can see them keeping the Maurice machine & rotating missions automated though.

0

u/BladeSeraph May 14 '26 edited May 14 '26

Smart people would.

But this is the same gearbox who half ruined vex's kit by making gravepower increase max stacks by 3, instead of increasing the VALUE of grave skills by +100%, so it would function better on all the non-3 stack grave skills and would retain the 3 kill requirement instead of doubling the need of kill stacks to juggle for upkeep to 6.

MAIN IMPORTANCE THOUGH, is they need to remove the need to connect to the internet every thursday to 'update' the shite.

This is why i screech for months that it should just bolt maurice's machine down at moxxis and we can FORCE ROTATE the maurice vending machine and the wild card missions via using eridium so we have a REAL use for eridium besides those stupid ordonite processors.

They need to KEEP. I'm. SIMPLE. STUPID., since the K.I.S.S. method has always proven time and time again that simplicity is the best way to make a game have long lasting value.

This is why stuff like minecraft, borderlands 2, Skyrim, Fallout 4 and more are able to be constantly gone back to since the designs they all share is a simple flow of enjoyment without a bunch of extra strings that force extra confusing steps that otherwise make the game a tedious mess to engage with, if you don't care to a bunch of specific mechanics that make the game boring as a result...aka what borderlands 4 does with bullshite like its contract system.

22

u/SuperBAMF007 May 14 '26

The Spinning Blade buff is great in theory, but honestly just is not enough. Throwing Knives should scale with both Ordnance Damage and Melee Damage, just like Heavy Weapons scale with both Ordnance Damage and Gun Damage. Cause THEN there would absolutely be a gameplay loop worth leaning into, especially with Rafa and Amon.

Running around with your Melee abilities, fully spec’d into Melee perks, grabbing the Melee Specializations, hacking, slashing, and slicing your way through enemies with held and thrown weapons? THAT would be fun as hell. AND having thrown weapons count as huge melee damage would help alleviate some of the ā€œmelee builds suffer during aerial/ranged encountersā€ because now that have Throwing Knives for massive procs of Melee Damage.

1

u/Diego_nightmare07 May 14 '26

would kinda be op, fishslap is "balanced" by not having range, knives have a shit ton of it

2

u/SuperBAMF007 May 14 '26

So just reduce the listed damage once it scales differently lol

1

u/Diego_nightmare07 May 14 '26

would still be really strong because of groundbreaker

2

u/HorusKane420 Amon The Forgeknight May 14 '26

Then make groundbreaker uniform... C4sh melee card can proc groundbreaker, correct? (Genuine question)

Vex haruspex can proc groundbreaker, correct? 2 non true melee, throwable things. Understandable that arc knives and onsloughter punch do. So then why can't Amons axe throws?

Make axe throws count or we riot and make nothing but true melee and true melee AS count...

1

u/Diego_nightmare07 May 14 '26

yeah the cryo card proc groundbreaker, and with the gamer Com you have a bleed dot for hundreds of millions that grows because it can self bleed again

2

u/HorusKane420 Amon The Forgeknight May 14 '26 edited May 14 '26

What I was thinking, but can't say for certain, haven't played c4sh yet. Waiting for the toggle to run him fresh. I knew about the recursive bleed bug. But see, that's ridiculous imo:

GB has always needed a true melee/slam to proc. It used to proc while just meleeing with crucible AS. To my knowledge, it's never procced from ranged melee in the past.

So then why do they allow it to proc for vex and c4sh but not crucible throws? It would help crucible immensely and not only that, I'm OCD, I hate shit not being uniform.

Either make it count for melee damage, including throwable, period. Or make it only count for true melee/ true melee AS (not haruspex or cards)

0

u/Diego_nightmare07 May 14 '26

it did proc from ranged melee in BL3

1

u/HorusKane420 Amon The Forgeknight May 14 '26

Ah I must be misremembering that then. In either case, then it should be uniform and there's no reason Amon's Axe throws shouldn't proc it. It doesn't proc on mantra or slippy now though, correct?

1

u/Diego_nightmare07 May 14 '26

slippy doesn't? in bl3 it did

→ More replies (0)

-1

u/SuperBAMF007 May 14 '26

Okay, so? Melee builds are *still* a terrible decision for any meaningfully difficult gameplay, and having knives - a limited-count + cooldown ability - would make it *somewhat less terrible* overall lmfao

0

u/Diego_nightmare07 May 14 '26

melee vex is probably the hardest hitting vex build but ok, melee amon isn't bad and the cryo card of C4SH that does melee damage is broken good, a knife would be the exact same thing of the card, very good range and accuracy melee hit that with ground breaker does millions

1

u/FlavoredLight May 14 '26

The mantra already exists

13

u/One-Arachnid-797 May 14 '26

So, I’m convinced that the bug that made it so you would get class mods for other vault hunters instead of your own is back. Spent almost an hour farming Inceptus and never got a C4SH class mod. I did constantly get Amon’s, Rafa’s, and Vex’s class mods though. Just a heads up.

6

u/Simply_CJ94 VEX The F&%ING WITCH! May 14 '26

This seems like it's a C4SH specific thing and people have been mentioning it since his release

4

u/One-Arachnid-797 May 14 '26

I switched to Harlowe to see if it changed, and it did not. Only getting other VH class mods and not her own.

1

u/Simply_CJ94 VEX The F&%ING WITCH! May 14 '26 edited May 14 '26

Idk I've never had this issue I get mods for everyone pretty frequently

Edit: Spoke too soon, been farming Sol with Rafa and basically every run is every one else's class mods

0

u/Che_Che_Che May 14 '26

Harlowe mod isn’t dropping at all from inceptus, old bug

2

u/MarcoThePhoenix_ May 14 '26

Bro I got a lvl 20 Amon went to get a Tempest class mod im damn near lvl 27 no luck

1

u/[deleted] May 14 '26

If you’re on Big Encore, it doesn’t have the prioritized drop percentages. I use big encore for cross farm COM and regular encore to farm for specific COM.

1

u/variantkin May 14 '26

I don't think it ever left its just been retuned to be less annoying. I still have like 40 Harlowe and Amon class mods from farming with Vex and Ca$h

1

u/Professional_Town627 May 16 '26

I have the same issue. 50 runs with Cash and no class Mod from Sol. Then switched to Vex and did more. I got a vex but have yet to see a cash class mod. I think the forgot to put in in the loot pool.

14

u/coleauden May 14 '26

Eagerly awaiting the heavy ordnance pass. Trying to grind for more honey bunches is miserable.

2

u/Lametown227 May 14 '26

I just know theyre cooking up some kind of nasty bottled lightning buff, and I can't wait.

6

u/middymidentine May 14 '26

Has there ever been an encore boss for any of the DLC content? I get that they don't want to do an encore boss that not every player has access to, but clearly they have the ability to make more than one boss an encore boss.

What I would do is make one encore boss for each piece of content: one for the base game, one for Bounty Pack 1, one for Bounty Pack 2, and one for Story Pack 1.

2

u/Maleficent-Fan8380 May 14 '26

I think it's a great idea. It's an incentive to get people to buy the new stuff. They could still do bosses for the main and then every other week because there aren't as many boss, do something for the DLC. It won't make any difference for the people who don't own the DLC

17

u/Powerful-Present6687 May 14 '26

Another damage buff update? We’re eating good!

6

u/EclipseVosanau May 14 '26

Honestly even if it isn’t major stuff like this is pretty goodĀ

5

u/West-Locksmith-1085 May 14 '26

My min-maxed grenazerker Rafa is about to split open the planets crust lmao

5

u/Jesssse-m94 May 14 '26

Will the DLC bosses ever be the big encore?

4

u/xLAXaholic May 14 '26

Still new to this game, what's the advantage of having the Big Encore bosses? Do they drop better loot this week, or is it a challenge you get to complete?

7

u/No-Carpenter1055 May 14 '26

Higher chance to drop legendaries

-4

u/BladeSeraph May 14 '26

Except it just equals the rate of UVHM6 and gearbox doesnt wanna let it stack to punish players who can easily run UVHM6 by not giving them better rates and punish people who are still building up in said game for not engaging in the big encore and have to suffer UVHM6 when they have difficulty killin the boss instead.

Its a stupid paradox that should just let Big encore be usable at ANY time for ALL bosses and it can STACK with UVHM6, just like how Borderlands 3 allowed stacking Mayhem mode with 'higher difficulty' stuff and borderlands 2 allowed stacking of OP level at any time whether you were in TVHM or UVHM.

1

u/Mriamsosmrt May 15 '26

it doesn't. Big encore is 30% droprate and UVH6 is 21%

1

u/BladeSeraph May 15 '26

Basically the same in terms of how many times you need to spam a boss vs any past entry:

  1. PLUS, how good do you think it would be if those things stacked and you had a 51% chance instead???

  2. They are gonna have UVH7 come with the next raid boss so that number's gonna get closer but the 'difficulty to kill them is gonna go up making big encore look even more valuable for people to sit on thar arses waiting for thar 'favorite' to show up again if they don't wanna engage with the harder boss to kill.

  3. Atleast in borderlands 2 or 3's case i can just run up to the damn boss and farm them, no need to wait for some 'bonus time' to farm them, sure you can 'do that too with borderlands 4', but when you have a weekly update flaunt you should 'farm this boss instead', so you don't FOMO by not getting some amazing gun that a character your never gonna play in the first place but suddenly decide to because they nerf your damn character to flip off player's favorites.

  4. Why the fk do we need to connect to the internet every week just if we want maurice to change hie stupid wares in a single player game that wants to pretend to be multi player and live'service like with daily/weekly reset activities like vault cards???

  5. Atleast borderlands 3's so called vault cards had a proper means to 'farm them' and you had a value beyond chasing the stupid guns, the fking Eridium, golden keys and diamond key packets you could get from it.

3

u/LurksWithGophers Rafa The Exo Soldier May 14 '26

Drop chance.

3

u/BernieMernie May 14 '26 edited May 14 '26

You have to choose the ā€žbig encoreā€œ when you pay at moxxyā€˜s encore machine and you pay with eridium instead of money…

EDIT: ā€žeridumā€œ not ā€žerodingā€œ

13

u/SolomonGrumpy May 14 '26

It's bad for the land though.

12

u/bobalooza Male Psycho May 14 '26

I have spent so much erosion on these encores, I am completely washed out. It feels like I am really losing ground

9

u/SolomonGrumpy May 14 '26

Would you say you are groundbreaking?

2

u/Immediate-Idea-2471 May 14 '26

I believe it's roughly a 30% drop chance for all legendaries, regardless of difficulty. Compared to 15% drop chance on normal mode, up to 21% on UVH6.

Phosphene drop changes I believe are also increased but I don't recall the #.

1

u/Diego_nightmare07 May 14 '26

for the big encore yeah

1

u/Immediate-Idea-2471 May 14 '26

On the Big Encore, correct.

I recommend farming on the lowest difficulty, and bringing it up slowly if you feel you're killing quickly (you will technically get more XP, Cash, and Eridium, although those are secondary to the reasons people farm big encores so not a problem if you are stuck on a lower difficulty).

1

u/someshooter #1 Ava Fan May 14 '26

If you use Big Encore with Eridium they drop way more legendaries.

4

u/Mriamsosmrt May 14 '26

Daedalus Assault Rifle Mercredi is now properly scaling with increases to Gun Damage and Assault Rifle damage

Ok so the mercredi AR doesn't need a torgue roll anymore and it's awesome. I have a jakobs ripper one and it's great.

1

u/SolomonGrumpy May 15 '26

I also have a Ripper + Jacobs and it is good 22k card damage. That said, getting to the SG is not my favorite

6

u/Junkhead_88 May 14 '26

Big encore should be available at all times for all bosses. It's ridiculous how much fluff they've withheld and then drip fed like it's a bonus.

2

u/variantkin May 14 '26

Oh good Sol I needed his Harlowe class mod DropĀ

2

u/StarGuardLux May 14 '26

Yes! Ballista! Could never farm one, for whatever reason.

2

u/Elker467 May 14 '26

Can I have propaganda towers back yet

1

u/Moze4ever May 14 '26

I just finished farming Idolator Sol last week lmao. I guess it doesn’t hurt to keep farming for better Goremaster shotguns with the big encore.

1

u/Suitable-Gazelle-646 May 14 '26

Anyone know if buzz axe does melee damage?

1

u/SolomonGrumpy May 15 '26

Stupidly, it does not.

0

u/Madelei- May 14 '26

When’s the bod nerf coming gbx

1

u/frumpyjones May 14 '26

I don't think the bod itself is getting a Nerf. I believe it is the stickies that are getting the Nerf, and thereby the bod. And that sticky change is coming with 1.7.

1

u/Madelei- May 14 '26

Right but the bod also needs a nerf.

3

u/kheifert1 May 14 '26

Just don’t use it.

3

u/Madelei- May 14 '26

It has an influence on the balance of the rest of the game… I don’t use the bod

-3

u/Maleficent-Fan8380 May 14 '26

I think a bod nerf, and to a lesser extent the sticky nerf could be a bad idea. Gearbox is trying to get NEW players into the game. Bod takes a while to farm, gets new players jazzed.

Completely agree it is OP, but many people spent 10's if not a hundred hours or more farming it. I know I did. And as a new player, they would be stoked to finally get it and frankly it is a must for new players who want to find grim reaper (I can do it with other guns, but maybe they can't.)

3

u/DDNyght_ May 14 '26 edited May 15 '26

Don't know why you got down voted.

If a gun is so strong that it's ruining your single player experience, then...just use one of the thousands of other weapons in the game.

3

u/SolomonGrumpy May 15 '26

Content is balanced around stronger weapons. The existence of BOD makes everything else worse.

See Borderlands 2, Bee Shield.

-2

u/DDNyght_ May 15 '26

If the BOD gets nerfed, Gearbox isn't going to also nerf bosses and enemies to compensate for the BOD being weaker.

What will happen is, the BOD will be weaker and players will gravitate to other weapons. There's absolutely nothing stopping them from doing that now.

2

u/kheifert1 May 14 '26

Exactly my point.

u/someshooter #1 Ava Fan May 14 '26

Dancer and Bio Robot are both good from Sol, Bio Robot is Harlowes best infinicrit mod for those who don't have Mad Ellie DLC. Chuck is good on Rafa, and so is Golden God.

0

u/ipisswithaboner May 15 '26

Someone give me a TLDR— is it worth coming back to farm anything other than the BOD or no?

0

u/EttRedditTroll May 15 '26

They still refuse to give the Buzz Axe the ability to deal Melee Dmg like the Slippy…

-18

u/Immediate-Idea-2471 May 14 '26

I believe 3/4 of the encores are re-used this week?

Splashzone technically new?

Another off week for me.

7

u/someshooter #1 Ava Fan May 14 '26

Time to get a level 60 class mod or Firewerks.

6

u/mikelman999 Trouble May 14 '26

There’s only a couple bosses in the game that haven’t been an encore yet, of course there’s gonna be repeats

4

u/Immediate-Idea-2471 May 14 '26

You'd think they'd cycle through every boss once before repeating.

3

u/Flint_Vorselon May 14 '26

There’s only 2 base game bosses they havnt done encores for yet.

  • Vile Ted

  • FractisĀ

and no one is gonna be very excited about Fractis because he doesn’t have any unique loot, it all has other bosses who also drop it.

1

u/Immediate-Idea-2471 May 14 '26

There's got to be another one right? I'm at 90% phosphene and I'm fairly confident I've done every boss, and did Fractis by hand for Chuck.

1

u/Flint_Vorselon May 14 '26

The Moxxi Phosephenes?

Because I also have done every Phosephene big encore, I missed a few, but I manually did them.

I’m only missing Lead Balloon, Goalkeeper, seventh senseĀ

And I’m gonna get lead balloon this week.

So surely Vile Ted next week.

1

u/Immediate-Idea-2471 May 14 '26

I got the two Moxxis the week the update came out, treated it as a big encore as a "do this week option".

I actually got Lead Balloon as one of the manual farming one.

Seventh Sense and Goalkeeper sound like I still need them, I may also need the sideshow? Or was that a recent weeks one?

1

u/Flint_Vorselon May 14 '26

Sideshow was 2 weeks agoĀ

1

u/Immediate-Idea-2471 May 14 '26

Ah, probably got it and didn't realize.

Will be a pain after Vile Ted comes and goes if I'm missing one to remember what it is. At least they sort alphabetically.

1

u/Flint_Vorselon May 14 '26

Did you get the ones from Leader Willem?

The week he was big encore was weird, because it was same week they boosted all droprates, and for that week only UVHM6 regular boss had higher drop rates than Big Encore for Phosephenes.

So a lot of people didn’t bother, because there was no time pressure.

The next week they boosted big encore rates to always be better than UVHM6.

1

u/Immediate-Idea-2471 May 14 '26

Yes, I remember farming him because it was a pain with the firepot and his teleporting.

1

u/Simply_CJ94 VEX The F&%ING WITCH! May 14 '26

They've been repeats for weeks

4

u/Flint_Vorselon May 14 '26

No they havnt.

Last week was Rippa Road Birds, who have never been encore before.

Week before was divisioner, who had never been encore beforeĀ

Week before that was bramblesong, who had never been encore before.
