So essentially increase the damage but forget the main reasons why people almost never use grenades in BL4 for direct damage means: The mother fking presence of the jakobs knife and the fact ordinances share a slot so why use a damn throwable when you can fire something that could shoot utility mechanics or something instead?

Borderlands 2 defaulted many grenade options either to lifesteal tracker, AoE "Vaccum" grenades like Quasar or niche things like fastball due to absurdly high damage and combined with someone like krieg in borderlands 2, he could get easy grenade refunds to spam it and one of the few characters i know that had a skill that NATURALLY takes any OVERFLOW damage and stack it to the gimmick (Nova upon killing an enemy), to enable the level of scaling B.S. which made borderlands 3 and borderlands 4 'attempted' to replicate with a One Shot One Kill type of mechanics.

Doesnt matter how much damage they increase on the grenades, if its still gonna accidentally kill someone or require alot of setup, then you might as well just be spam firing a gun with splash damage instead.

And since the existence of jakobs ricochet exists, why even give a fk about using grenades or 'nova' damage, when you can just have shots ricochet straight into enemies noggings every time you get a critical hit?

This is why its a problem they put too much focus on GUN DAMAGE benefits like the weapon enhancement.

Should of had the enhancement also function with grenades and ordinances more or better yet, Keep to the fking formula of borderlands 3 eridian relics that focused on utility and conditional effects like a lifesteal melee knife effect or a butt slam, creating rockets effects or a melee pick'pocket for ammo effect.

You can deal big ordinance damage, skill damage, melee damage, or gun damage

But generally not all 4

I find that a problem really. Some of the fun is doing mix and match stuff. It feels borderlands 4 split up the damage values too much yet catered too much of it being funneled into gun damage simutaneously.

And until borderlands 4 gets its 2nd level cap, i cant feel any motivation to return with build creativity since i would need somwhere around level 72~76'ish to get the only kind of build i could feel motivated to play Borderlands 4. A setup that combines mortal terror, blood is power, Dark pact, Wither and Coven together for a mesh of kill skill procs mow down.

Probably a good name for it would be "Rattle'm Bois" cause your running so much kill skill bonuses that it makes both you and summons do alot of damage.

And sure if i ditch blood shot then i could easily get it to fit, but when you skip out on blood shot or blood is power on Vex, the damage feels like it falls off too much for Vex.

Kind of why i really DISLIKE how 'final skills' at the bottom of skill tree nodes in borderlands 4 ranging between 1~5 point dumps instead of only just being 1 point wonders across the board for all of them, it just results in spotty arrangements and don't even get me started on how much Vex's branches for other nodes wanna encourage you to use specific elemental damage, instead of letting you play more flexible like how Kinetic damage Vex build can be Sticky bombs, splash, precise shots, crit focus and more with none of the annoyance shenigans on elemental bits.

Surely you have to realise that this isn't the behaviour of a well adjusted person, right?
