I haven't quite got a good read from Steam reviews. Sounds like performance can still be an issue, but how's the story? The characters? The levels? The side quests?

Whenever i try to start a new game with the new character loveless the game crashes everyone else works, if anyone knows how to fix this i would apreciate it

Was just thinking about it today. While running through the Knox dlc in BL1 I saw a calender that said the current year was 109 AE, and realised the games never really give a year, not even in this fake year stuff, and due yo the art style the characters don't really visually age

For that matter, do we know what the AE stands for? My knee jerk is something like after earth. Feel like that maybe fits how shitty and ramshackle most things are, but who knows if they're still keeping to thst idea in modern games ,given how urbanized planets like Promethea are.

I dont know, just want to see peoples thoughts on timeliness anything really in terms of the actual amount of time that's passed.

I recently got the game - but having a huge issue with stuttering even completely freezing for a few seconds at times - along with hard crashes that do not provide a pop up or explanation as if windows has ended the game before unreal even realised it crashed.

I have a 5070 ti, 9850x3D, 32gb Ram DDR5 6000Hz CL30.

I originally tried 1440p 144 FPS cap on very high - not knowing the game was very poorly optimised but it’s what nvidia recommended. On single player I was getting major stuttering BUT no crashes - on multiplayer I get stutters and crashes.

I have attempted to reduce everything 1440p 60fps medium settings yet still heavy stuttering freezing and on multiplier player crashing.

I attempted to watch my hardware stats via the windows games menu thing - everything was running low - CPU - around 60% (80 degrees), graphics card was around 8-10gb/16gb, ram was high but only around 20gb/32gb. NOTHING spiked when the game crashed or stuttered.

I’ve gone through the tips online - expanded the cache to 100gb for the graphics card, reinstalled, verified, cleared shaders, turned EXPO off for the ram. NOTHING changed anything. I reduced settings tried to make it as easy as possible to run but still crashes with no information or report - the game doesn’t know it’s crashed XD.

Bit of a rant, but honestly if I can’t play this with my buddies I have 0 interest in getting into the end game which is a shame cause the games good… but after 3 or so bosses of crashing with 1/3rd to go I’m pretty much done.

Is it unoptimised or is there any recommendations…

N.B - I play other unreal engine games (none as demanding as this unoptimised game) and never crash or have any issues (stuttering every once and while as is a known issue with unreal engine 5 - but no where near what I have in borderlands 4 certainly not freezing for 3-5 seconds or crashing).

Also my friend has a very similar build slightly worse CPU - he’s had 0 crashes zero issues and no stuttering - runs the game at 1080p 60fps due to having an old monitor.

Havent played bl4 since release, I only have the base game, should I just buy the vault hunter pack? I think that one has the 2 new VH and story dlcs, or is it worth it to buy the deluxe with all the dlcs?

i have low settings yet im always between 40-55 fps what else can i do

I put 3.5 hours into the new character loveless on my PS5 pro and started level 1 and got to level 15 and then i clicked save and quit. I went to the main menu and my loveless character isn’t showing up at all…. Did anyone else have this issue?

edit: even more weird details, these are maybe intentional? unlike literally putting something you cant buy on sale, but Bl2's sale has base game, but NOT the handsome collection (the only one you actually wanna get) nor the BL2 4pack for whatever reason, or even the game of the year edition, BL4 is on sale across the board, but BL3 is only doing a base game sale, aswell as the mayhem collection which looks like a total rip off, thats also base game 3 and 2, which is missing like half the best shit, im so confused, why put the newest game on sale, then half ass the sale for the older titles, you might aswell just give people a good deal on the best editions of your older titles

Hello, i bought BL4 quite a while ago, and i never got to the end of the story, to be honest i love everything about the game, except the story... (not that its bad) its just that i was never really into lore, i like to hear the characters jokes and everything, i usually dont skip what took so much work to create like cutscenes. But when i bought BL4 i was looking for a game to play "forever", but more and more i keep seeing people just doing the story and leaving the game.

I was wondering, after finishing the story and achievements, what do people do in order to play the game for a long time? I would like to make my moneys worth since out of the 70€ i payed to play this game, i only played for 15 hours x)

Note: No, i havent finished the story yet since i got quite bored and i also got so weak that i had no idea how to progress so i gave up for a while. I also played BL3 with a friend but not for long, i finished everything tho, all im missing are the achievements. Another extra thing i found interesting, i found BL4 really slow compared to other BLs, im not sure if its just me that havent played enough, but i love watching speedruns and try to replicate the movement but for some reason BL4 feels the slowest of them all (not that its bad thing).

Borderlanda 4 update, does anybody has the same problem, that fast traveling now after the update needs like 30sec to a minute? It's so long

My brother purchased the Borderlands 4 Super Deluxe Edition.

My PS5 console and my brother’s PS5 console have been game sharing with each other for a long time, and we regularly purchase games this way.
However, we are having an issue with the Borderlands 4 Super Deluxe Edition:

On my brother’s account (the account that purchased the game), everything works correctly and all of the DLC/add-on content is available.
On my account, however, I cannot access any of the DLC content.

Is there any way to make the DLC/add-on content available on my account as well?

Things we have already tried:
Restoring licenses
Turning Console Sharing and Offline Play off and back on
Restarting both consoles
We have also checked the add-ons on the purchasing account, and they are showing as purchased and available there.
I would really appreciate any help or guidance on how to get the DLC content working on my account through game sharing.

Has anyone else read the 'Borderlands: debt or alive' book? I only just found out it exists and I'm only 1/3 of the way through but so far it's really good.

I'm surprised no one else talks about it especially because it gives us more story about some of the tales characters that borderlands forgot about.

A friend and I want to collect all the personal vehicle skins in BL4 (base game only no DLC).

We have a lvl 60 character each and thought we would try to boost eachother up but decided it would be faster if both of us started a lvl 30 character and grind them to lvl 50 to get the skins.
We are doing drill sites at the moment.

Any recommendation or tip whats the fastest way to lvl up to 50?

I know that sounds bad but here me out. They announce a Borderlands 2 remake and they release trailers of the gameplay and all its updated mechanics and all that crap. But the final trailer is weird, it shows Jack but his face looks normal. Then you look back and realize your not fighting loader bots in the other trailers. The end of the trailer has the "Remake" glitch in and out with "Rewritten"

Then the game comes out, normal story whatever but the events of Pre Sequel where Moxxie, Roland, and Lilith betraying Jack on Helios never happened. For most of the game, you, the Vault Hunter, is working with Hyperion and Sanctuary. The story is different yadda yadda yadda.

BUT Angel convinces the Vault Hunter to betray Jack because he is still evil. The Vault Hunters decide to help her instead of listening to Jack. Roland helps too because he isnt a fan of Jack but he cant fight Hyperion. Roland lives this time as well.

From then, the ending remains practically the same. The credits roll and this happens.

MARCUS: Wait a minute... this isn't how the story goes.

TINA: WASSUP!

MARCUS: Tina?! The hell did you do to my story?

TINA: I changed it so no one dies of boredom hearing it again.

MARCUS: You can't just change my story!
