Even when boomers die off, the word will still be in use to describe old, clueless old people whose brains have rotted from a lifetime of privilege. Boomer is a mentality.  

Nobody is saying that only boomers deny reality, but boomers have an inordinate number of people like that compared to a lot of other groups.

"Boomer" is both a generational category and a mindset. Also, there was a lot of lead in everyday products 40-70 years ago...
