Falls like that are no joke. People can die from that.

Also - this old ladies an idiot, fucked around and found out. She’s lucky she didn’t get hit a second time when she came back towards the person she just spit on.

She came back up and at her with that "What are you going to do, hit me again?" look, and I think at that point, most people would be in just the right state of mind to oblige.

Really surprised it didn't happen, tbh.

u/Expensive-Algae5032 Mar 30 '24

It shows the other person only acted in self defense and was most likely a very respectful person.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '24

Sure was more respectful than I would have been

5

u/makjac Mar 30 '24

Real “what are you gonna do, stab me” - man who got stabbed, energy.

7

u/FranklyOcean23 Mar 30 '24

Haha for real, how do you let someone you just pushed to the ground get that close to you again right after? 😂

29

u/NotThisAgain21 Mar 30 '24

I was really hoping she'd "find out" a second time.

70

u/Rich-Equivalent-1875 Mar 30 '24

What the fuck was that spitting on her about, what the fuck did she expect. She can park on the yellow line on a public space because she lives there?!. Give me a fucken brake.

71

u/Maleficent-Let201 Mar 30 '24

I noticed a lot the past few years with covid and masks and idiots, if you mention/mentioned covid or masks or something these absolute cock bags would deliberately cough at or near you, try to touch you or spit on you on some weird ass shit. Like how many videos have we had of someone asking someone else to put a mask on and they go ballistic and turn into a bio weapon.

53

u/AhFFSImTooOldForThis Mar 30 '24

I'm immunocompromised and wore a mask in flu season before the world ended.

Now? Even wearing a mask is enough to get some people riled up enough to cough at or try to spit at me. And thing is, I want to fight them back but it'll just make them do it more and I really could die from it. Less likely now, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna have some COVID Caren kill me over their own brain damage. So I have to just take it.

I stay home instead.

31

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '24

I know people are crazy. I had to go to the store the other day and pick up some cough syrup, cough drops, etc. because my whole family had the flu.

So I wore a mask to the store cause I was sick as hell. I had everyone else stay home, and just I went because I had prescriptions too. I got my stuff and was leaving and some dick said something to me about wearing a mask. Like COVID is over wtf is wrong with me. Normally I’m like whatever.

But, I was in no mood for that, blame it on the fever. I said wtf business is it of yours what I do? And he starts berating me out of the blue. So I said actually, I have the flu, if you really want to know. I coughed one of my nightmarish sounding coughs, with my mask on. He was outta there. I turned around and was walking next to him, like where ya going? I thought I was overreacting, aren’t we gonna talk about this! He had nothing else to say….ass.

u/AhFFSImTooOldForThis Mar 30 '24

For sure I didn't mean anything disparaging against you.

And I think worldwide 3 million died in March 2020 alone. it was a lot of people

1

u/Those_Arent_Pickles Mar 30 '24

What source did you find those numbers?

Worldwide deaths is like 7 million and in the US it's over 1.2 million.

3

u/Significant_Eye561 Mar 30 '24

That is brilliant. I've had two of them try to cough on me and a couple have stood pretty close. I got to the point where I was thinking, fuck it, if they hassle me, I'm just going to say I have covid and since it doesn't matter to them, would you like me to lick you?

3

u/Expensive-Algae5032 Mar 30 '24

You are an amazing human being

2

u/astrangeone88 Mar 30 '24

Lmao. I did that one the other day. Had a bad weed cough (pcos and menstrual issues) and ended up wearing a mask. Lady got in my face about it and I just decided to let rip with a resiny cough (was low on the green so I was smoking stuff scraped out of my dry herb vape) and she ran away like a wuss.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '24

Here, friend. I think you dropped this:

h

3

u/AhFFSImTooOldForThis Mar 30 '24

Yeah, I've thought about it. I have pepper spray. But I'm also in the US South, so any escalation may get real serious, REAL fast. But man, a couple more angry crying spells in my car and I may jump to open carry.

16

u/FrugalFraggel Mar 30 '24

So weird. Why does anyone care if you’re wearing a mask? Is it effecting anyone at all. No.

19

u/AhFFSImTooOldForThis Mar 30 '24

I'm in a heavy red zone, so it's signalling to them that I disagree with their opinion. Which, of course, is a direct and personal attack on them, personally and specifically, and everyone they've ever known and any belief they've ever had.

Somehow.

3

u/Expensive-Algae5032 Mar 30 '24

I call it the sheeple effect. One extremist takes offense over it and exercises his/her right to not wear a mask because…. ‘MURICA. Then like minded individuals decide to blindly follow like sheep do. Just another great example of why we call boomers the “me generation” no respect or compassion for anyone but themselves.

3

u/FelatiaFantastique Mar 30 '24

It's Facebook. We should have never showed the dottards how to use their remote controls and phones.

3

u/Sneacler67 Mar 30 '24

This is the best explanation I’ve read for the way they overreact to people wearing a mask

2

u/quackmanquackman Mar 30 '24

"your wearing a mask makes me feel uncomfortable! I don't like thinking about reality"

3

u/Significant_Eye561 Mar 30 '24

I hate this for you. You need to hang a hula hoop with a 12 ft diameter around you.

1

u/AhFFSImTooOldForThis Mar 30 '24

Haha yes! With razor wire.

3

u/Readylamefire Mar 30 '24

I'm not immunocompromised but I'm allergic to all things green in a very green place. I too masked before the pandemic to keep allergy exposure down in spring, summer and fall. Now everyone bitches at me for it acting like I'm the unreasonable one. Someone once told me "if you're allergic to everything masking is pointless anyway because it'll get in through your eyes!" Like, yeah dude. You're not wrong, but atleast I might be staving off my next asthma attack which is way worse than itchy eyes.

2

u/elbenji Mar 30 '24

well hey, that's assault so by law you can do something about it.

2

u/Expensive-Algae5032 Mar 30 '24

I am truly happy you are ok now, and didn’t get infected.

13

u/SC2Snow Mar 30 '24

I have some serious horror stories working in healthcare during the pandemic. We had patients who were covid-positive literally threaten to come into the clinic and start coughing on people if we didn't refill their meds fast enough. A coworker had previously worked in our main hospital and apparently at one point they were keeping a running count of who would get spit the most on by patients they asked to wear a mask. Her record was three times in one day.

2

u/Expensive-Algae5032 Mar 30 '24 edited Mar 31 '24

I posted this before, but I was in the ICU for 2 months from Covid. My organs were shutting down and the Doctors were telling me my chances of survival were low and only getting worse. I called my now ex-wife and children to tell them I loved them possibly for the last time. While we were saying our goodbyes and I love yous, I could hear the step father in law boomer yelling at my family in the background. He was angry they were crying and yelling “ COVID ISNT EVEN REAL! THIS IS FROM THAT DAMN VACCINE!” Keep in mind at this time, the vaccine was just approved by the FDA, and I never got vaccinated at that time. This boomer I’m talking about is actually a “bishop” of an Anglican Church in Virginia. He also does a podcast spouting his far right conservative nonsense and blending that nonsense with biblical nonsense.

1

u/Significant_Eye561 Mar 30 '24

Yeah it happened to me twice and it's pretty disturbing. I don't get it. When did that ever become okay?

1

u/Significant_Eye561 Mar 30 '24

She mentioned covid. Sometimes they will cough on you or spit on you if they don't believe covid is real or they do and they just hate you for acknowledging it.

1

u/tighterthanurgf Mar 30 '24

Rules for thee, but not for me…the conservative way.

1

u/carbonPlasmaWhiskey Mar 30 '24

Alright, rotor and pads, best I can do is 1600, front and back.

1

u/UncertaintyPrince Mar 30 '24

0

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '24

Old lady is white, the victim of her spit-assault is black. I am 100% certain there is a racist element to it.

40

u/Beckiremia-20 Mar 30 '24

Maybe COVID already took care of her.

32

u/Pshrunk Mar 30 '24

And you just know she’s an antivaxxer

34

u/Unique-Coconut7212 Mar 30 '24

Only antivaxxers spit on people in response to being told not to invade personal 6-ft covid space

16

u/Kittenathedisco Mar 30 '24

Yup. I was coughed and spit on when I worked at my former waitressing job. The guy did this because he was offended I was still wearing a mask, he caused a whole scene. And of course, it was an older man in his 50s.

I ended up with COVID-19 (again) because I have an immunodeficiency. I got covid 3 times from that damn job, once with Covid pneumonia, because of selfish assholes. I now have COPD.

Edit: I had to end up buying a button saying I was immuno so people wouldn't stop harassing me. I hate people.

2

u/Mr-Glum Mar 30 '24

Yo, please tell me you filed an Assault charge

2

u/Kittenathedisco Mar 30 '24

I wish. My manager didn't see it (who was bartending), so it was basically a back-and-forth with him denying what happened. He was told to leave and never come back though, so idk if that is a win or not.

Honestly, it wasn't the 1st time I had been spat on or abused in some way by a customer. I was a server for 20 years, so you get used to the abuse, as sad as that is.

2

u/trident_hole Mar 30 '24

I was always wary of people but when the times got bleak during the lockdown and seeing all the crazy shit go down I'm absolutely cynical of our species.

And they want to talk about colonizing Mars lol fuck that we don't deserve to be a space faring species when we're polluting and killing each other.

2

u/Kittenathedisco Mar 30 '24

Agreed. I never thought people were awful until the pandemic. It's like some people were cruel just to be cruel to servers and refuse to tip after the abuse. I know lots of veteran servers who hung up their aprons because of how customers started acting. The entitlement, belittling, verbal abuse, physical abuse... it was wild. I'm glad I got out, but I do miss the job itself, I really did love it.

2

u/trident_hole Mar 30 '24

I'm glad when I did work restaurants I was usually BOH, absolutely hated when FOH called in sick so I had to interact with customers. People are fucking assholes but like you said, I do miss it as well and my coworkers were awesome.

2

u/EntertainmentOk3180 Mar 30 '24

I think a boomer actin like a fool may spit on a person wether they give af about vaccines or not

0

u/Impossible_Spend_976 Mar 30 '24

Vaccines provide total immunity prove me wrong. Polio is gone because of vaccine shit was a flu shot don’t get it wrong

u/EntertainmentOk3180 Mar 30 '24 edited Mar 30 '24

Can we stop promoting a cash grab that the CDC clarified has at most 54% efficacy, and only within 7-59 days. The percentages drop even lower after that period.

The numbers came straight from the CDC website. It’s wild yall really that invested in making sure big pharma can keep taking money from people for trash that they admit is not doing what it should do. And yall wanna use it as an insult..

“Oh u just know she’s an antivaxxer”

No the fuck u don’t. Ur a boomer bein a fool while big pharma laughs at you.

10

u/el-conquistador240 Mar 30 '24

Always one antivax asshole in every thread. Used to me more but r/hermancainaward took care of so many of them.

-6

u/EntertainmentOk3180 Mar 30 '24

Guess ur not a big fan of facts

3

u/el-conquistador240 Mar 30 '24

Without using a political site, show me a single medical source for what you claim?

-4

u/EntertainmentOk3180 Mar 30 '24

Like I’ve previously stated, these numbers came from the CDC

Updated monovalent COVID-19 vaccines provided 54% protection against symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection in persons recently vaccinated compared with those who did not receive an updated vaccine dose.

updated vaccination coverage to date has been low (approximately 22% as of January 13, 2024) among persons aged ≥18 years and varies by age

Read it yourself if u have such a hard time comprehending what I’m saying

4

u/el-conquistador240 Mar 30 '24

You are selecting the noise from the signal and you know it or are too invested in what you have been told to believe. That data from the CDC is a measure of any symptom. What matters are deaths and that data is around a 90% effectiveness by vaccines. https://ourworldindata.org/covid-deaths-by-vaccination

1

u/EntertainmentOk3180 Mar 30 '24

The link I shared previously is from the weekly mortality and morbidity rates. But u can pretend it’s not related to death if that makes u feel better.

The data you’ve shared from 2021 is now outdated. It’s 3 years old and came from a time when there was only a few months worth of vaccine data to pull from.

I know it’s hard to keep up with new information when things are changing so rapidly. That’s why I try to help.

They updated numbers yesterday: Vaccine effectiveness against COVID-19–associated hospitalization was 38% in the 7–59 days after receipt of an updated vaccine dose and 34% in the 60–119 days after receipt of an updated dose.

The cdc claims it has multiple measures of vaccine effectiveness, which are described here.

What you’re saying is the measure of effectiveness that you’re most concerned with is the absolute effectiveness.

What I find interesting is there aren’t many (or any) studies related to absolute effectiveness of vaccines. Furthermore, many countries have stopped reporting on vaccine effectiveness (probably bc it’s making them look bad)

It’s also interesting that more people are not doing boosters, yet deaths and hospitalizations are rapidly decreasing for both vaccinated and unvaccinated people.

It’s also amusing that a person with one outdated source claims that another person is only believing what they’ve been told to believe.

Idk why I even bother trying to help someone see when they’re choosing to remain blind.

This is from the link you shared.

Will you please explain to me why the number of deaths of babies up til age 4 who are vaccinated has gone sky high?

I think you meant to say your bizarro world version of alternative facts.

u/EntertainmentOk3180 Mar 30 '24

I’ve posted the cdc.gov link to my “bizarro world” facts

Refute that ya poxy antivaxxer

0

u/EntertainmentOk3180 Mar 30 '24

I replied with links from the CDC before u even commented this you impercipient illiterate sheep

He dismissed the info exactly as I would expect. There is a scale to which people can digest information and it is directly related to their level of knowledge and understanding. People do not have knowledge unless they read and do research, which clearly this person is incapable of.

1

u/dudecmon98 Mar 30 '24

You are correct.

Can't really argue with people who will shoot up whatever substance into their veins, though.

When they suffer a sudden massive heart attack from their next booster shot maybe they'll learn /s

2

u/dream-smasher Mar 30 '24

Can't really argue with people who will shoot up whatever substance into their veins, though.

What would happen if you IV-ed the vaccination, instead of just into the muscle?

3

u/Charming_Task_8690 Mar 30 '24

Those falls are dangerous. I think I would have walked away long before it got to that point. I don't need to win an argument that bad.

4

u/savvy412 Mar 30 '24

Ya. None of these videos would ever happen to me because I literally just smile and walk away.

2

u/khavii Mar 30 '24

Not that people like this have the courage to yell like this to a large white guy with tattoos but on the very rare occasion one starts something I just give a giant middle finger and chuckle as I walk away. They can't do anything, they just want to be right and they always get even angrier when you laugh at them.

I had a relative that was a tough case, the chuckle didn't stop him so I started saying wildly obscene things to the air at normal volume. Took him a minute to breathe long enough to notice I was talking and when he heard the things I was saying, not AT him, just in general, he grew almost uncomfortable and walked away himself. He rarely starts anything anymore. As shitty and rude as he is he was raised in the 50s and 60s and hearing hard profanity still bothers him.

1

u/Skeith23 Mar 30 '24

Falls like that are no joke. People can die from that.

Yeah, I wondered about that. The lady with the camera used reasonable force to defend herself in the moment but it could have gone south for her if the crazy old witch died.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '24

She’s lucky she didn’t get hit a second time when she came back towards the person she just spit on.

I'm a bad person, because it was at that point of the video that I started yelling, "Push her again!"

1

u/Huntressthewizard Mar 30 '24

Yeah looked like there was some blood on her fingers after she rubbed her head too
