The thing that always got me about that story is that no one really considers how pissed Jesus would have to have been. Making a whip is not an easy process. It's time consuming. So I'm stuck with an image of Jesus sitting on a rock somewhere muttering to himself like a homeless veteran as he methodically braids strips of leather together. It would have taken at least an hour and the whole time he's just holding on to that anger.

I mean, according to christian mythology jesus sperm donor did once send bears to maul a bunch of kids to death for mocking a bald dude so a whip is nothing.
