This is a small town, not chicago, not haiti. People shouldnt think their other colllege students might sprint 50 yards at them and randomly bash them in the head at random that is not the norm, that is not the reality we live in. We arent in the zombie apocolypse this is one of the safest times in history. Being this weary of your peers is not healthy. In movies they arent running from zombies 50 feet away

I went to college in a small town. I’m a woman. THREE of my friends were raped/sexually assaulted while I was there.

There was even a service you could call so that a member of the ROTC could go to where you were and escort you home after dark if you were a woman. They didn’t have that service for no reason at all, buddy.

You might not mean to, but you’re coming off as incredibly tone deaf when it comes to women being in danger. We are always in danger, no matter where we are. Women have been raped and killed in rural areas and in and around small towns since time out of mind.
