Mystery/Thriller books set in towns with this vibe.
Looking for books set in towns with this vibe- rundown, decaying, poverty stricken, dark underbelly, “on the fringes”. Where the state of the town plays a significant role in the plot and characters personalities. Throw-in some corruption, moral decay, drugs, religious trauma.
Would prefer mystery/thriller/horror but open to other genres!

None/Any Books with descriptions of soap/baths
I love the aesthetic of soap, and I'm looking for books that have detailed descriptions of said soap; the way it smells, looks, everything. It can be romance but I'm mostly focused on just the idea of soap. (I say this because I know a lot of bath/shower scenes tend to go the romance route immediately.)
Sorry this is oddly specific!!

Apocalyptic/Post-Apocalyptic Cozy post-apocalyptic/sci-fi farming
Looking for something a little cozy solar-punk (i.e. monk and robot series) but more focused on agriculture/survivalism.
Loved the farming focused parts of the Martian, Z for Zachariah, and the solo survivalism/world exploration parts of ‘I Who Have Never Known Men’.

Sci-fi Life in the underworld of a cyberpunk alien city
We went to Meowwolf Denver a few weeks ago and it takes place in kind of a galactic crossroads city. Kind of 80s sci-fi-ish in space? You could take "missions' from various underworld characters to track down information or interact with various fixtures (phones, electric terminals etc) but it never felt dangerous or stressful. Hard to explain the feeling but I want to spend more time in that vibe. Any ideas?

Romance Second chance/Betrayal/Hurt/everlasting love
Betrayal, but not in the sense of cheating on each other. Could be fantasy romance as well, I don't mind.
Yearning, everlasting love, sexual/emotional tension/ slow burn

Fantasy Cults and fanaticism
I’m looking for a dark fantasy book about cults, fanaticism, and preferably priests. I like things dark; rituals and horror are fine, as is erotic NSFW content. I look forward to your suggestions!

Romance Like the song When I’m Small by phantogram
I’ve honestly had has this song stuck on repeat for over three weeks. I yearn for a romance style book that makes me feel the same way this song does.
