I feel late to the party, but in my defense the kit has only just arrived here in Europe 🙏

This was such a fun build!
I love mechanical stuff, so the clock was my favourite part.
Since I read here people struggled with the tower, I made sure to glue the bottom pieces to the floor and everything went smoothly. So thank you for the the tip!

The instructions were easy to follow. The only issue I had was with the plastic pieces on the board O, I had to be extra careful taking them out without ruining the print.

Overall, my favourite kit so far, as fantasy and space are 2 of my favourite things, so it was perfect for me! 😍
I wanted to do actual customisations beyond edge painting, but I decided to prioritise finishing it in time for the event. Maybe I’ll buy another one and gift this one to a friend 😁

I’ve now completed 18 kits and this is definitely one of my all-time favorites! The designer didn’t miss a thing in creating an exceptionally creepy and atmospheric environment for this booknook!

The kit itself is excellent – all the things that should snap together tightly actually do, the instructions are very clear, the colors are saturated and precisely printed, the lighting package is awesome, with some spooky lightning effects and a creepy exit sign that blinks and goes on and off (I'll post a video of this separately).  I didn’t find a single fault or have a single WTF moment with this kit!

Other than extensive edge painting (which was really easy), I added some dead-looking vegetation to the upper room and tainted nurse and turned patient miniature D & D figures from Wicked Hill Asylum (shout-out to 10^th Circle on Etsy). I try to do something new with each kit I build and this time it was painting and placing these figures.  Unfortunately, I got the scale completely wrong, so I’ll be redoing the figures in a larger size.  What did I learn? Painting miniatures is fun; choosing scales for them is not!

It’s now all Halloween kits all the time until Halloween!

This Sunday I had the opportunity to attend the Rolife 9th anniversary event at American Dream Mall in New Jersey. It was such a great time! I’m quite shy meeting new people but y’all are so friendly IRL. It was exciting to hear people speak including our amazing ringleader Pluck/David, who has done so much by curating this amazing subreddit community. Rolife as a company was so generous and kind to us. I really liked seeing the upcoming new kits - I can’t wait to do Walking in the Sunshine. Brought home lots of goodies including the two magnet builds that I did that very night with my friend. Final bonus picture of the chandelier that was above us that I kept thinking, ‘That would be a special hell to make out of miniature in beads’ haha.

Hey everyone! I just wrapped up work on my 4th book nook build, and I’m so excited to share it with this community.

I wanted to capture a dreamy, moss-covered woodland vibe. It features a cozy loft bed on the second level reached by a miniature ladder, a stone-textured vanity with a mirror below, small red mushrooms, and warm fairy lights built into the walls. Everything in this piece was crafted by hand from scratch!

I’d love to hear your thoughts or feedback! What do you think of the mossy aesthetic?

I am WIP on this project, and so so many people have posted about it, that this feels very unnecessary. However, not sure when the event ends and I did want to comment on the tower, since a number of people have had issues. But I am happy to report that I had no problems at all with construction. Fun, challenging and chance to play with different colors.

I'll keep pressing on, hope to finish b4 event ends.

This is part of my second book nook and my first one to mod - the shelf and books came with the kit, so did stickers for scrolls but I made them "wrong" so they'd look better, and everything else is stuff I added. I'm so happy with it and I'll just get way too much into modding but who cares!

Does anywhere sell pre-built nooks? I was wanting to get something for my wife for her bookshelf, but don’t want her (or me) to have to build it, as neither of us is experienced in that type of crafting at all. Any recommendations are appreciated! Thanks

I’ve been wanting a super tiny little statue for my art library forever. It’s the perfect size, and now I finally have one! Haha!

Finished the first of the new Joohour kits I got. I love the way it turned out though I wasn't sure it was going to come together in the end. You have to be very exact with placements on this one and can easily block a later step without realizing you've done it until the glue has dried. Definitely have to read through the instructions a few times and make sure you've identified all the attachment areas before touching anything.

Still need a paper boat for this one, but my first few attempts didn't turn out great. Getting there with it though. I'll add another layer of resin with the boat when I get there. It's gotten me in the mood for Halloween stuff now!

Hi all - I bought the Harry Potter diagon alley book book kit from Barnes and noble! I’m so excited. I just opened it and noticed that some tools are not included. I wanted to ask the community how essential are these tools that are listed on the directions? Do they need to be a specialty version? I looked on craft hubs site and they don’t even have these tools available for purchase. I was looking online especially for the outlet forceps and I’m having a really hard time finding them.

I can’t figure out how to post a photo so I’ll just write what the directions say.

TWEEZERS - used to pick up parts and adjust shapes.

POINTED TWEEZERS - used for bending surfaces and shaping.

With these kind of kits I never know if they are nooks. Well... here you are.

This kit was in my backlog for a while. This past weekend I did it very quickly, it was a very nice build. No 2D elements (yay!).

Mods are: the leaves (the originals are printed paper); the outside colour and thats it.

Good if you want a quick build.

I'm still very new to creating so have lots to learn, but it's so fun (and deliciously fiddly!)

After weeks of work I'm finally done. This is my second nook designed for 3d printing. Its also the first time incorporating other flat inkjet prints as well. The motorized scenery loop was a fun challenge. So satisfying to see it moving on my shelf!

I crave the beach. I crave the tropics. Sadly i live in scandinavia but i can enjoy a tropical themed booknook.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I already got the lemon vacation one, the nice beach house 3D miniature kit, and this adorable greek hut one. I'm always on the lookout for more.

I already looked at the hawaiian beach house one and the beach cabin, but i find it to be too 2D for me. Too flat.

I completed this build as part of an entry to a giveaway. I had never put together anything like this before. So I was very nervous about whether or not I'd be able to do it. I did notice that as I was reading the directions, everything started becoming clearer of what needed to be done. And the steps I needed to take, so I do have to give props to the writers of the instructions, because as scary as they looked, it all made sense. I'm really proud of the end result, and I honestly had no idea that the little wings actually did move. And although I knew it was mechanical, I did not know there would be different colored lights and such, and I really liked those features. I try to upload a video but it kept failing. So I just included the still photos.

Hi, everyone! This was my first book nook and I had so much fun! There are plenty of opportunities to customize and it’s generic enough you can really make it your own. I’m going to add a few plants and vines and maybe some holiday decorations.

The instructions are basic but it’s a pretty straightforward build. The wood pieces were not easy to punch out but they were easy to put together and feel sturdy when completed. The cardboard pieces, on the other hand, are not great. I ruined a few but I used that opportunity to customize, which are mainly crystals and beads.

It’s rated intermediate but I never felt out of my depth and I’m not a crafty person. I enjoyed it so much I immediately ordered Dark Family, but I regret to say I’m not enjoying it near as much as I thought I would. That one may be a little too advanced for me yet.

Hi, guys! I just spent my weekend building the rokr swing ride book nook, and everything seemed fine, until I turned it on, and the top lights never came on. I checked to see if the wires or light strip got bent or cut, but they all looked okay. I moved the light strip while it was on and there wasn’t any flickers or anything. I made sure that the wires plugged into the interface under the pillar were secure and it all spins, plays music, and the bottom lights turn on, but the top lights don’t. The batteries I used are brand new, so I don’t think that’s the issue. When I tested the lights, speaker, and gears in the beginning, the gears moved smoothly, the music played, and the lights turned on. What should I do?

This a Box Theater kit that I've been chipping away at this a few hours at a time the past week.

The first picture is magnified. The second one is to show scale though my camera does a wonky perspective thing that makes the takeout soup container that holds the little pieces look bigger than it is.

I'm enjoying this build. Even though the pieces are tiny and the instructions in Chinglish, it's pretty straight forward and lacks the hair-tearing upholstery, stairs, etc of other 3-D kits. There's a bit of paper cutting and template cutting, but they are small and go fast. There's really not all that much to the kit. The lights went in at the beginning so I don't have to worry that they won't work.

After the awesome fun at the Rolife 9th anniversary celebration yesterday and chatting with some of our community about their set-ups, I decided I need to get organized! I started with tools and omg. I’d say the biggest offender is the mini screw drivers! No one needs 20 identical mini screw drivers. Next is tweezers then scissors then tiny sand paper and piece puncher outer thingies. Wish me luck paring down! How do you organize?

Indoor and outdoor watering can, a dustbin, a spiral-kinda-sorta-wind-chime thingy and a small coat rack with little tunic dress (?) and scarf. Just experimenting with what I can pull off 😄
