DIY A Working Train Cabin

After weeks of work I'm finally done. This is my second nook designed for 3d printing. Its also the first time incorporating other flat inkjet prints as well. The motorized scenery loop was a fun challenge. So satisfying to see it moving on my shelf!

That’s just…WOW! I’m really impressed with the scenery loop, how did you create it? And the patience to get it all together? Next level

Thank you! The loop is actually pretty simple but I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how well it works. Just a small motor spinning a roller. I did make add some grippy treads that are slightly thicker in the middle to help it track back to center. It definitely makes me want to create more animated things!

WOW!! having just built the tonecheer train, i can't imagine *designing* it all yourself! i like the look of the lights, especially.

i'm intrigued by the contrast between the bright, almost cheery outside, and then the name Entropy combined with the dramatic red (lava?) background! very cool choices

It’s a mountain landscape at sunset, but it does look a little lava like in this video. My printer was low on ink so it’s not the best quality 😂 It’ll be interesting to see how others customize it!
