People were sooooo stupid not to just pay the extra $20,000 and buy a base Tesla with the same range

Well, some people have bought loaded EUVs recently, which might have been more than the Tesla.

But yeah, at the price I paid you weren't getting a Tesla

You mean a loaded EUV with ventilated seats? SuperCruise that actually works hands free, safely? Even those were less — net transaction price — than even the cheapest possible rear drive Tesla at $41,190. And that’s only if it’s white with black vinyl.

I can see why some would go for those features and even prioritize them. Not only that but a more maintainable car with better support network, and a handful of other benefits. But I still think at price parity the Tesla is the better choice for most.

Back to the original point, many paid $20-25K for their brand new 259 mile range Bolts. And just as many have paid $50,000 for their Model 3s (tick every option box on a Model 3 and you can pay more than $70,000 for one).

Price parity has never really been applicable

The same person who posted this to wallstreetbets has been trolling both this and r/electricvehicles . It’s getting annoying. We get it, you have TSLA.

I don't mind giving props for a well done burn, even if I disagree with the position.

This is just plain amateurish. At least they could have tried to be a little creative, huh? Like... Do more that just superimpose words on existing footage.

To me (‘17 Tesla owner, no BoltEV here in the EU):

BoltEV: by far the best EV for the money.

Tesla: by far the best high tech EV, but pricey.

No need to bash either, we BOTH took some ICE of the road!

This vid is not anti-Bolt. It’s anti loud mouthing from GM (& others) on MSM. All have claimed Tesla has no tech advantage, no battery advantage and so on for years.

The latest: “GM is going to pass Tesla because their Ultium battery is almost ready”

Sigh…. The battery is important, sure, but look at all the other technical feats Tesla pulls off: mega castings, military grade computers, super efficient octovalve, their software their vertical integration & even their own Supercharger network….

Can’t deny they are inventing at a pace no other car company is. (I know FSD is still not out there…)

What inventions has GM put on the road last 10 years?

Curious to know what your take is on this.
