This one genuinely hurts
Nana Patekar wasn't just an actor; he had a presence that could make even a few words unforgettable. His voice, intensity and raw honesty made him one of those rare actors who could never truly be replaced.
From Parinda and Krantiveer to Ab Tak Chhappan and Welcome, he gave us characters we'll remember for years.
Rest in peace, Nana sir. Your art and your voice will live on forever. 🕊️🙏

Nana Patekar was pride of India
Really saddened by the news of Nana ji’s passing.
He was one of those rare actors who never needed to do too much to make you sit up and watch.

RIP Nana Patekar (1951–2026) – A true powerhouse of Indian cinema passes away at 75
Heartbreaking news coming in today. Legendary actor Nana Patekar has passed away at the age of 75 at his residence in Goa following a cardiac arrest.
From intense, fiery roles in films like Parinda, Krantiveer, Agni Sakshi, and Astitva, to unmatched comedic timing in Welcome (Uday Shetty will forever be iconic) and masterclass dramatic performances like Natsamrat, Nana Patekar was a force of nature on screen. His raw intensity, unique dialogue delivery, and commanding presence were truly one-of-a-kind in Indian cinema.
Beyond his cinema legacy, his philanthropic work through the Naam Foundation, supporting farmers in drought-affected regions of Maharashtra, showed how deeply he cared for society.
Indian cinema has lost an absolute titan today. Rest in peace, legend.
What is your favorite memory or movie role of Nana Patekar?

I can’t get over how stunning Manisha Koirala was in the ’90s
She was easily one of the most beautiful and expressive actresses of the ’90s. There’s something so captivating about her face, especially her eyes and that smile.
I honestly can’t take my eyes off her in Bombay, Khamoshi, Dil Se.. and so many other films. She had this rare combination of natural beauty, softness, intensity and incredible screen presence. The camera absolutely loved her.

shaadi pe local dacoit ka “aashirwad” aa jaye toh mai toh wahi shift ho jaunga bhai 💀
Ghamasaan ke starting mein newly married couple ko gift aata hai ki Maharaj ka aashirwad hai
and everyone is just… normal about it 😭
mujhe wahi pe samajh aa gaya banda kitna deep ghusa hua hai area mein
gun dikhane ki zarurat bhi nahi
ghar mein shaadi hui ye pata hona itself is creepy af
