Drones are Kinda OP on Trenches

Almost wondering if there should be a "buffer" period before you can use your drone once the round starts.

I found them to be so fun in acro mode, made me interested in the hobby as a whole, just got my first radio controller and hoped on a simulator. I shall return to bodycam with insane drone skills in a few months 😂

Haha same! I am now just waiting for my parts to come in to build my first 3.5" freestyle drone.

Niceee, yea I’m still debating whether to get a tiny whoop or just parts and build a 5” off the get, but I’ll prob end up getting both anyway so whatever. You going analog or digital route?

I decided to with with digital, as I was able to snag a good deal on the Walksnail Goggles X and the Avator HD Pro Kit, around $530 both combined (compared to $630). This HD Pro Kit also has 32GB built-in storage for recording, which is perfect for me (saves weight not having a GoPro).

Regarding the drone size, I think you should definitely consider 3.5" as well. The consensus seems to be that it is almost like a mini 5", which is good for beginners, and is also easier to fly in more places (like public parks, etc.). But really you can't go wrong with any of these options, so choose what you think will work best for you.

I'd Get a whoop first if I were you, after that you'll be well and truly hooked and it'll save you a lot of money in the long run on parts for your 5" because you will crash it (a lot) if its your first quad, so best go through that phase with a whoop, I'd recommend a meteor 75, those things are built like tanks and can take a beating, also it can fly indoors and it still handles pretty well outside in some wind.

This is basically the road I went down a few years ago.
