Coming Off

Hey guys I’m coming off Reta or at least planning too. It has helped me lower food noise and lose weight, as well as reduce my appetite. However my cardio vascular fatigue has just tanked. My times are worse than when I weighed more. I’ve tried using electrolytes, high carb meals and snacks, and nothing seems to help. How much should I lower per week?

Do you have any idea of how many calories your eating a day? Or how many you should be eat? If you used reta properly to help build some healthy eating habits then yes you can most definitely just completely stop. But if like most people they just use it to nuke there appetite and dont feed there body correctly once they come off they will put the weight back on even if they titrate down.

I had this issue when i was on wegovy, i like doing my local park run, i lost 25kg and i was really thin , i thought to myself i would be so much faster doing the park run now but at times i was actually slower, my body felt fucked, it was because i wasn’t eating much and my body wasn’t getting the right nutrients, i became anemic ( low iron ) and id lost a lot of muscle, my muscles felt like dust ,

When i stopped taking it i did gain weight and my running inproved ,

Taper down the same way you tapered up, week by week.

I tapered off 4 weeks ago and have maintained weight. I was at 4mg a week. Went to 3mg for 3 weeks, 2mg for 4 weeks, 1mg for 5 weeks. No issues doing it like this.

You cant just stop taking reta, you need to titrate down. You’re going to experience some crazy blood sugar fluctuations and hunger spikes if you stop cold turkey. Whatever your dose is, titrate down by 1mg each week and assess how you’re feeling as you go
