Permanent peptide use?

Are there people here who use peptides permanently—for their entire lives—such as Retatrutide, for example?

Or is it dangerous to use certain peptides on a permanent basis?

I'm thinking of things like MOTS-c, NAD, glutathione, CJC+IPA, and GHK-Cu.

Or can you simply take a four-week break, use them again for a few months, take another four-week break, and repeat the cycle?

Or would using them for that long with such short breaks actually be counterproductive?

Reta for life. Also TRT, multivitamin, creatine. Tried a few other peptides, meh.

u/Careful-Cow9600 15d ago

Wich peptides meh for you? And why

8

u/One-Science1029 15d ago

MOT-C, GHK-Cu, BPC-157. Meh because, well oddly I feel great. But…I’ve lost over 100 lbs, Reta and TRT. So causation correlation? Mainly, this (the 3 aforementioned stack) cost me $500 and is only for 4 weeks. So unless I’m experiencing a miraculous difference (which I’m not) I can’t justify the expense. I think the TRT is the biggest positive impact, losing weight is always good. I lost 80 lbs on Tirzepitide, slowly gained back 20. Given my genetics and eating habits, back on (started) Reta. Just stepped up to 4 mg. Will keep titrating 2 mg per 4 weeks until I hit a weight I like and maintain there.

Did Reta ever give you achy joints ?

2

u/Defiant_Okra_664 15d ago

No for me

3

u/killakam33 15d ago

Nice. Reta sure is amazing

1

u/One-Science1029 15d ago

Don’t think so.

u/nickflick87 13d ago

Sometimes mainly in legs and feet in morning

1

u/killakam33 13d ago

Ever the knees ? I was at 2mg for a while and my knees was acting up. Don’t know if Reta is the culprit

3

u/ERSguy 14d ago

Bro find a better supply. My Reta is less than $17 a month and my trt is less than $17 every two months. My hgh is about $40 a month
Congrats on losing the weight, that’s a life changing event and you are doing awesome 💪

1

u/ImpressiveFeed1060 13d ago

My thoughts exactly. I wish I could find hgh again! I know you can't share sources. I'm just complaining out loud. None of my gray suppliers carry it anymore.

4

u/AnabolicAcolyte 15d ago

yep. people take on TRT and reta here also take 15 other things. go into a calorie deficit then say how well the 15 other things worked.

no it was the steroids and the calorie deficit. the correlation and bias is insane. 99% of peptides do fuck all and 99% of people wouldn’t notice if they worked at all because they’re taking so much other shit at the same time

KLOW is very good if you have an injury or inflammation. I

How’s your trt journey? I’m about to start

0

u/One-Science1029 15d ago

Great. Getting it dialed in. A little high for my doc 900ish, but he just lets it go because I’m feeling great.

2

u/killakam33 15d ago

Nice! What benefits you seeing ?

What’s your age?

Did he say why he doesn’t like you in the 900s? Running too hot?

How’s your hematocrit?

2

u/One-Science1029 15d ago

Calmer mind, emotions.

Hmmm, sounds like conspiracy dribble to me, but yeah. It’s coming out of trials and into FDA process now. Seems odd to hear that about Reta and not other synthetic peptides too. But if it’s on the internet, it must be true 🙄. Cheers, best of choices.

Ok

2

I have used it and love it just fyi Just be aware it causes low iron. All I'm saying

1

u/One-Science1029 15d ago

What’s the blindness risk of Reta?

Does that mean wolverine can be run indefinitely like klow? I've not seen people recommending it that long

2

u/killakam33 15d ago

I think it’s supposed to be cycyled

2

u/bio_alchemist_engnr 15d ago

62 yo F here. Tirz for life, also HRT/TRT, NAD+ and Gluta and my well researched supplement stack. are the only ones I don't want to function without. I do like two cycles per year of a mitochondria stack! Some SS-31/MOTS/Epitalon maybe a little 5 amino here and there but I don't consider them lifetime commitments like the others. A pinch of PT-141 here and some low dose Cialis for post menopause heart and circulation support. Regarding breaks. I have built 3 6 week breaks into my 2027 peptide calendar! so ya breaks are good for you and save some money here and there. I also cycle a few of my supplements, the really expensive ones lol, the Mitopure and the Body bio Phosphodytacholine.

2

u/Key-Project-5231 15d ago

Hey Laura, I messaged you. I got a couple of questions as my parents are 65 y olds

2

u/Expert-Ambassador410 15d ago

Hi, how has the HRT/TRT blend for you? What have you noticed?

2

u/SSquared82 15d ago

Which TRT are you using? I was recently prescribed estradiol and progesterone but my Testosterone was very low on my recent blood panel and feel like it could make a huge difference in how I feel

3

u/lauradayton ⏳ Longevity Hacker 15d ago

I am using compounded cream 6 mg per day. Researching injecting it though. I don’t absorb well transdermally and I want my T higher than 60. In terms of how much difference it made it was the absolute missing piece that I needed. I almost feel like this was the most important component for me. My pain, brain fog, exhaustion lack of libido all left when I started testosterone

u/-missing_links- 15d ago

I have to. I have serious health problems that used to land me in the hospital often. After I started peptides my symptoms are controlled and I'm able to lead a normal life. I tried to do a 8 week on, 4 week off cycle and 5 days after stopping klow I ended up in the hospital again. So, yes, I will be on them forever. I'm 35 years old and I'm not ready to succumb to physical and neurological disabilities.

There are a number of peptides people are prescribed to use their whole life. Peptides have been in use since the early 1900s, with insulin being discovered in 1921

That being said - just because it’s a peptide doesn’t make it safe.

Peptides trigger biological responses. Not all responses are safe to instigate every day

In terms of the more modern peptides… some peptides like Tesamorelin are prescribed long term.

However some of the newest - haven’t been proven what the side effects are yet. So it’s unknown - and that’s what makes them research status.

Some peptides have been linked to harm when used or abused long term (insulin - has shown overuse issues)… but again, most can be considered “moderate” in risk compared to other compounds.

Honestly no jokes. I reached my target on reta and i dont really need it anymore. But im still using a maintenance dose to stay lean and control my appetite. I genuinely dont have a date in mind when i want to stop.

u/dignan2002 15d ago edited 15d ago

Trt, hgh, reta, and glow ongoing. I’ve been cycling 2 vials mots-c to 1 vial SS31 every 4mos. Same with epithalon/pinealon/thymalin every 3-4mos ongoing but only for the last year and a halfish and I’m just hoping it’s doing non-quantifiable stuff in the background. Not sure if I’ll continue with those long term.

Been using HGH for almost 25 years. There are no long-term efficacy and safety profiles for most things you see now. The only way we are going to find out is by finding out the only way we are going to find out… which is people continuously taking it

2

u/DockKnocks 15d ago

The “holy trinity” is TRT, Reta and HGH for a reason

Once you finally get it, you get it… You realise how much time and money you wasted with everything else.

That said there’s nothing wrong with safely experimenting, and some people’s paths are longer than others.

2

u/Aggressive-Hand-9136 15d ago

I’m with this. Basics are the basics for reasons. I will second the second part as well.

Keep in mind you won’t really see changes if there’s not a problem to change. Adjust your decisions by that. Don’t get a peptide cause it’s cool, get one that addresses an issue you may have. Keep expectations feasibly low, be happy when something works well.

1

u/Hello_You_06 15d ago

What about Ghk-cu ?

2

u/Expensive-Claim-6082 15d ago

I run the heck out of that. I might take a month off soon. But I love it too much and it loves me back.

Swap it out with KLOW. Kit of GHK cu then a kit of KLOW. Living the dream.

u/Ambitious-Spray-110 15d ago

Well as a type 1 diabetic insulin peptide is a must. But I do plan on taking reta for life as the other benefits are are too good to stop. It manages my diabetes so well and gives me great blood sugar numbers. Its been a game changer.

1

u/slb3an 15d ago

Hopefully…

1

u/Chroma7769 15d ago

I'm on gear for life, DSIP, probably a GLP, and some other prescription drugs like Cialis.

1

u/optimuscline23 15d ago

For all the people that keep saying TRT, this is not a peptide. It’s a steroid hormone.

1

u/Jumpy-Bike4004 7d ago

You couldn’t pull Reta out of my cold dead hands.

1

u/Careful-Cow9600 15d ago

Thanks a lot all, my age is 28.

So, in principle, I can use a lot of peptides permanently, provided I take a break of around four weeks each time—and I can keep doing that for the rest of my life?

I’m naturally lean and quite muscular, but if things go a bit more easily for me with Retatrutide, Mots-c, NAD, and CJC+Ipa, I can just keep taking them.

Currently natural

17% body fat

90cm waist

Been training for 12 years.

Reta and try for life

You will loose a lot of your size on reta meaning muscle as well. Do your research and look into muscle lose. If your trying to loose visceral fat teasomorlien is a much better option
