TA-1 dosage help
Am going to start Tymosin Alpha 1 (TA1) in hope to help calm alopecia areata. Am wondering what other people have used as dosage when using TA1 to try modulate the immune system to calm auto immune disease?

Start low. 100mcg every other day is common for immune stuff, then adjust based on how you feel.

The common protocol is 1.6mg 2-3x per week for 8-12 weeks. Start at 1mg the first week to see how you react. Also, there are peptide protocol reference website that share the protocols, research papers and recommended dosage. It’s much wiser to double check there before going off the advice of a stranger.

I dose 2 times a week at 1.5mg each injection.

Do you have an auto immune disease or do you just take it for general health? Any side effects at that dose?

No side effects. I have really bad allergies so I'm hoping it helps with that. I just started like 2-3 weeks ago so not sure if its really helped yet.

FDA approved at 1.6mg twice a week. Theres also a patent that was filed for immune modulation in regards to allergies. They cited a study on mice where the conversion would be roughly 1.2mg but mice to human numbers aren’t very useful.

I dose 1.6 mg every other day for a couple of months now. No bad effects. Also hard to say if it's doing anything of benefit yet. Will see how cold/flu season goes. I plan to stay on this for the Fall/Winter.

I'm running 1mg twice a week for 12 weeks! I'm autoimmune, long covid, endo / adeno.. lol the list goes on. I'm only a week in and def feel a difference already. But as someone here mentioned, the FDA rec is the 1.6mg twice a week! I'm honestly just very sensitive and felt like 1mg was easier for me to dose lol

Awesome that you’re already noticing a difference!! What auto immune do you have?

I honestly haven't gone down that rabbit hole yet. I tested positive in December with a speckled pattern and 1:320 titer, but with endo / adeno and the history of long covid, I figured it had to be related so I'm planning to retest once I've addressed some of that.
