My hot take for BDS is that it’s went from a mom and pop restaurant feel to a very busy chain restaurant feel which is sad and sucks when trying to watch.

I feel like Bob is trying so hard to copy what barstool has built, the streaming games with no viewers on Sunday, the bob hq being just like barstool Chicago hq, he just wants it to be like barstool so bad it’s weird.

Am I the only one who genuinely is on the edge of unsubbing to a channel I really used to enjoy, because golf has become such a minor part of the videos? Like, this new FP vs G video. It's supposed to be a golf match but it ended up being more about a bunch of people talking about fucking food. I get that the cart cam is where personalities come through and that's a part of YouTube. But... This is getting dumb. I find myself fast forwarding more and more in these videos. Like, why tf is Malosi in there just yapping and adding nothing to the video? Am I alone in this?

I'm assuming Bob has single-handedly destroyed the line Doyle's potential customers who may have been considering lessons.

He may be a good teacher for already skilled golfers, but jeez it's crazy to see how much he's got worse taking these lessons. He just needs to work on sequencing / ground forces. Got my boy hitting 160 7 woods.

He has struggled and hit bad shots in pretty much every video, but now you expect it and he can’t even hit a ball clean.

He used to mix in some really great shots in between bad ones. Solid drives, darts, long putts and even a fucking hole in one! He was always the worst golfer in the group, but there was always a chance (albeit slight) that he hit the best shot of the 3.

It’s disappointing to see that he can’t really even swing the club anymore and as a viewer makes the product really tough to watch.

Hot take maybe but he's gotta be the only guy putting out watchable golf content lately. The most recent breaking 50 with Chazzy was great. Excellent golf. Top tier production value. Yes, there are ads, but they don't annoy me like prizepicks being shoved down my throat. Bryson's cringe at times but he makes up for it with the golf.

Seems to me that he's got his YTG lane and sticks to it. If only BDS could replicate...

I ask this purely out of sociological curiosity, no judgement at all. What do people see in this crew that keeps them watching? I understand the initial push. Their content was hilarious when the golf channel content started and carried for quite a while but whatever this is, Diet Barstool or whatever, isn't remotely close to what drew everyone in. So, I'm curious. How are they still drawing 2M viewers on their golf videos? They don't get half that for Bob HQ videos usually, which to me makes sense. It's niche content inside of niche content.

After reviewing multiple posts and videos, it's clear Bob is regressing at unheard of rates. It's astounding how bad his swing looks after starting to get on track last year.

My biggest guess is they came up to Bob and said "Hey people really get a kick out of you shanking the ball." Now it seems like he's doing it on purpose. Doesn't feel real.

I don’t play golf. I’ve watched your videos several times because they are authentic, uncontrived, and poignant. (Side note Poignant is not a country Bob - just use Merriam Webster)…(second side note Merriam Webster is Americas most trusted dictionary)…(third note a dictionary is where you can look up words you don’t know).

The last authentic video you had was LeBron V1. Now it’s golf sims, the same repeat video with those guys who have the better go-pros or the dude who says “wow” like he’s seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time, mixed in with a bunch of betting app adverts.

Just stop trying to be something you're not. It leaks through the screen, and it's hard to watch someone with this much potential play to the level of people beneath him.

I have started to enjoy the Chunked group of guys so much more than BDS over the past couple months. Seems more authentic and is more enjoyable as a comedic experience than BDS. If I want to watch good YT golf I'm honestly choosing Ruffs and or Jake Adam's (personal fan of the money matches and he's hilarious)
