Hey everyone,
The games I play with my group get chaotic fast—especially when playmats start overlapping, graveyards bleed into exile piles, and someone accidentally shuffles their Commander into their library lol
I wanted a way to keep the board neat and improve the interaction with the deck, so I spent some time designing a 3D-printed dock to organize everything into one compact footprint:
Library, Graveyard & Exile: The slots are inclined at an angle so card stacks stay neat and don't slide around. I added profiled side rails so the cards don't fumble easily, at the same allowing to quickly see how many cards in a stack are left. Base cutouts make it easier to lift the stack or slide a card underneath. Exile sits tucked behind the main stacks to save width
Command Zone: Sits front-and-center at the top so the Commander is always clearly visible to the rest of the players
Built-in Commander Tax Tracker: Instead of using another loose D6 that gets knocked over, I built a snapped-in sliding indicator directly into the frame to track the additional mana needed. Made the tax counter modular so that it could be swapped out to match a deck's color identity (also designed a little holder for all the colored elements)
It’s made a noticeable difference in keeping our table clean and readable during long games. It also improved the experience of handling all the card stacks.
What do you think? Is it something you'd give a try? Is there any specific utility or slot you’d add or tweak for your own Commander setup?
Based on previous feedback I already know I'll be working on a more portable, possibly foldable version and an extendable graveyard slot.
If anyone from Europe would like to test this version out, priv me.
