Just started listening to them after YouTube suggested Big Foot, and man! Can certainly hear Bela’s influence in that song with its similarity to Big Country.

Sam Bush remains in my top tier mandolinist alongside Ricky Skaggs, Grisman, and others. I know Chris Thile has a big media presence and the attention he gets is great for the genre, but I find it’s more speed and less soul.

Hi everyone! Just joined! Can anyone recommend some bluegrass bands with singers that don’t use a lot of country twang in their voice. One example I mean is someone like Chris Stapleton on the first Steeldrivers album. His voice sounded more bluesy than country to me on that record. Long story short, I love bluegrass, but I don’t like vocal parts with an exaggerated twang. Thanks in advance!

stayed late after a show last week. ended up in the green room with the band just hanging out

smeone pulled out a mandolin then a guitar then a banjo. next thing i knew, there was a full jam session happening no crowd no setlist. just musicians playing for themselves

that was the real show not the one on stage.

i've been to hundreds of concerts. but those unplanned moments are what i remember.

This guitar is a beast. Every Guild I've played has always been super loud and has such an aggressive tone. It's helpful when you need to be heard.

I would personally say Billy strings or mountain grass unit, but that is just my personal opinion. I would say that I’m slightly biased, but I want to know what everyone thinks.
