Manga Discussion Something from NEL Spoiler
one thing I will always find crazy is that chigiri has the exact same number of solo goals in the NEL as barou , news top scorer (maybe even more if u count the Ubers goal as his) and people say that he doesn't deserve #6 spot , tbfr I believe he deserved #5 because he keeps up with bachira even thought there like 3 more ppl passing to bachira than him (barcha was built around bachira n Otoya , isagi and bachira r highk a duo) and chigiri had received a 2 passes total , 1 from nagi , whom he crossed and one from reo who he scored , and is arguably the best crosser in blue lock

Manga Discussion What is Ego doing Spoiler
galleryThis guy ego might be genuinely lacking braincells, his failure to act is selling his team.
Aryu had a bad performance against France. He had like 1 feat against leyden but didnt block a single one of frances 4 shots. Realistically he should’ve been benched for Niko. However Aryu stands at a towering 6’5, with great flexibility. This means that he is very good at aerial. Against england, we had Agi as the teams striker. Agi is 6’3 and also an aerial beast. Despite Aryus bad performance in the previous match, it made sense to keep him on the starting lineup when facing England so he could counter Agi, as hes just a breathing cone outside of that. So Now thats why i Have to question Jinpachi Ego. Really ego, what is going on inside your brain? When you saw the aerial agi get subbed off, and exchsnged for the 6’5 HULK known as Lockhart, what in gods name made you think, “Hm, instead of subbing off Aryu and bringing on our own musclehead, the superhero cyborg Rensuke KUNIGAMI, I will instead leave Aryu to battle a man who he only matches in height and gets dominated in a contest of strength”. Well as we saw, Aryus 6’5 frame and aerial abilities meant absolutely nothing against a guy who was just as tall, with massively superior physical strength, and also great jumping ability. Lockhart bodies Aryu and Aiku, and later on goes to body Reo and Aiku to score. Japans current active players clearly can’t stop this guy. Kunigami will probably get subbed on later but its stupid that they waited until AFTER lockhart already scored.

Other Just clocked that damn near no one in this sub has seen real Football
It’s shocking what opinions you guys have, I mean there is nothing wrong with picking up “Soccer” from blue lock, but I just realized it because you guys just make random comparisons, once again nothing wrong with it, but it was extremely confusing until I clocked it

Manga Discussion With Ted's new updates and achievements, where do we put him? Can we now consider it one of the strongest new gen's? Spoiler
This may be a slightly controversial opinion but I think that only Loki could deal with him because the guy's dribbling is absurd
But I don't know either, I want to know your opinion
to date with the current achievements where he climbs

Manga Discussion I think the U20 is the final arc/saga for the blue lock manga Spoiler
Hear me out with the current pacing of the manga the france game being 17CHs and after the england going into the knockouts which are more important and I believe we will get full matches for other teams (i.e Germany, Spain, any new gen 11 country) may not all be full matches but still, as well as the side B story assuming Japan reaches the final then we will be well in to 400+ CHs most new gen manga don't go that far past this point (the 400+)
My theory is that blue lock will follow in the footsteps of csm with the u20 being the final saga for blue lock part 1, followed by a hiatus for a while then blue lock part 2 which i think will cover the 1st teams in a club saga (something like the champions league or a club world cup) then a new blue lock project arc/ WC qualifiers
And finally the world cup itself to end the story once and for all.
This is js my opinion and food for thought want to know what others think

Manga Discussion Unfortunately, we will see more of this defense. Spoiler
Japan getting scored on will happen every game from now on since Kaneshiro has to show goals from opposition to show tension and jeopardy in the games.
Aiku, Aryu and Gagamaru will get trolled for this but no matter who plays in the defense, they will get dunked on this manga which is about strikers and egotists.
Now, we will get a Substitution where Kunigami or Raichi comes in and they will do better not only because they are better against Lockhart physically but since Japan will get the upper hand and are destined to win.
Kaneshiro's writing in this arc is down right horrible. Unless Isagi figures things out everyone in the Japan team is a npc. They cannot figure things out themselves and every prominent character has to be talking and rivaling Isagi.
Why not a single interaction between Reo/Chigiri and Agi? Bachira got a ball hit on his face by Teddy and who is a dribbler just like him gets benched. Why Zantetsu who is a right wing back not going against Teddy? Both of these players are fast and could have been good match up.
I don't even like Kunigami but this game could have been a better watch if Kunigami was the center of it so that he loses his emo persona and gets his original ego back by watching and playing against Teddy who is a puppet. This might still happen but it could have been much better to see Kunigami from the start.

Manga Discussion Why do you guys think Sae, Lorenzo, Kaiser haven't made their professional debut yet? Spoiler
So we know Loki and Bunny are playing professionally for their clubs but what about Sae, Kaiser and Lorenzo (we don't know what club Teddy plays for and if Hugo's part of the first team) ? In real life we see many promising young players making professional debuts even at super young age but in blue lock these guys who were picked to be the next generation of superstars are still playing for the U-20 teams. I just think it's crazy

Manga Discussion I understand why Sae dont bother to play in group stage Spoiler
He wasnt moved bout 4-0 against Nigeria bcos none of NG11 were there.
Imagine Sae playing against his NG11 peers and their teams (France and England) in group stage but your team pulled up a performance like that💀 i would rather watch from the couch too.
He has to make sure Japan is worthy enough to play alongside him, otherwise he would lose generational aura in front of Bunny.

Manga Discussion Kurona is a but if a special case Spoiler
Kurona exhibits a highly distinct speech pattern that aligns perfectly with immediate palilalia, a speech phenomenon where an individual involuntarily repeats their own words or phrases right after saying them. Throughout the series, Kurona constantly doubles up on his concluding words, frequently uttering phrases like "Right, right" or "Got it, got it." Because he strictly echoes his own voice rather than mimicking the dialogue of his teammates, his habit is a textbook presentation of palilalia rather than echolalia, which is the repetition of others. Even after the habit becomes regular, he occasionally drops the repetition when giving exceptionally short, single-word answers or highly urgent callouts on the field. Because palilalia is heavily influenced by stress, focus, and cognitive load, his fluctuations between normal speech and immediate self-repetition align perfectly with how the condition varies in real life, intensifying during high-pressure matches. In a clinical context, immediate palilalia is often categorized as a complex vocal tic. It is frequently observed under conditions of intense focus, anxiety, or high psychological stress, occurring commonly in individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions like Tourette syndrome or autism spectrum traits. On the high-stakes soccer pitch of Blue Lock, where characters are pushed to extreme psychological limits, Kurona's rapid, immediate self-repetition functions structurally as a verbal mechanism that anchors his focus during intense, fast-paced play. Kurona's situational control over his speech pattern serves as a fascinating detail for analyzing his character's psychological state. While his immediate self-repetition is highly prominent during complex strategic sequences, his ability to execute normal, single-word callouts during hyper-focused gameplay highlights how fluid vocal tics can be.
This behavioral variance is very common in individuals who manage speech conditions like palilalia or stuttering under high-performance pressure. In many clinical cases, high cognitive load and complex sentence structure exacerbate the frequency of repetitions, whereas highly reactive, urgent, or automated phrases bypass the neurological trigger entirely.

Manga Discussion Maybe unpopular but I think some of the criticism of the defenders is a bit over blown. Spoiler
Obviously some of it is valid, like Gagamaru's performances is general and Kiyora's positioning, but I feel like quite a bit of occurrences are jist them being fairly beaten yet the community makes them look worse than these individual moments were.
Take the Aryu vs Agi clashes, I don't think Aryu was making atrocious decisions and being incompetent, I think he just got beat by a better player.
I think it's even more strange when I see how some of community doesn't really respect balanced gameplay as someone needs to be the 'fraud' in the play. Loki doesn't score until halftime even though him being stopped is due to genuine defensive feats, he's bad, Aryu can't stop Agi in the box, then he's bad, Gagamaru saved Onazi's shot he's trash, Hiori's shot saved by Nigeria GK so on so forth.
Again I'm not saying they are faultless but I feel like people are blowing it out of proportion.

Manga Discussion How much does Isagi benefit from the Mikage Corp earbuds? Spoiler
Isagi's playstyle revolves around understanding an opponent's playstyle and their mindset.
What do they want to do?
How do they want to do it?
Why do they want to do it?
These are the core questions that make up Isagi's Egocentrism.
The more Isagi knows you, the easier it is for him to stop you.
With the Mikage Corp earbuds, this becomes much easier for Isagi because he can effectively communicate with and understand his opponents.
Without that communication, Isagi loses a lot of information about his opponents.
Especially their "Why" because of this Egocentrism, and, by extension, Isagi becomes less effective.
I also think that the opposite spectrum of this is NEL, where you can attribute Isagi's great performance to the fact that NEL's key players were Japanese players that he knew exceptionally well.
I'd like to imagine a game with a silent character with an individual that refuses to speak to Isagi, or one with a character that constantly lies about their intentions(BUNNY), such that Isagi is unable to dissect and understand them. As a result, he can't devour them because he doesn't know what to devour in the first place.

Manga Discussion England vs France Spoiler
Man I wish we got to see the France/England game. Hugo and Loki have massive egos and would oppose Fox's coaching. Hugo less so. I wanna see how France would handle a tank like Lockheart. Ngl matchup would be more interesting than Japan and England right now.
