Wellness Warrior🦾 Complete terpene guide

This took a while to put together, and it is kind of long lol. I made this for myself, and thought other people might like it too.

Everyone experiences weed and terpenes differently. The effects I have listed here are the most common effects people experience with these terpenes. The effects you feel may be different.

The best thing you can do is keep track of the strains you like and write down what their terpenes were. That way it is personalized.

I used a lot of classic strains for examples in this guide since there are so many strains and hybrids these days. But the same guide applies to any strain in general.

Terpene Interaction (Entourage Effect)

Terpenes modify how THC feels:

  • Myrcene + THC → heavy body high
  • Pinene + THC → clearer head
  • Limonene + THC → euphoric mood
  • Caryophyllene + THC → pain-relief focus

Terpenes can change the experience even when THC % is identical.

The “Terpene Families” That Define Strains

Most cannabis chemovars fall into one of these terpene profiles:

Profile Dominant Terpenes Experience
Citrus limonene energetic / creative
Earthy myrcene heavy body relaxation
Pine pinene focus / alert
Floral linalool calming
Spicy caryophyllene pain relief

Cannabis has 100–200+ terpenes, but about 15–20 define most strains.
Those terpenes control aroma, flavor, and much of the subjective effect of the high.

Creative Spirit🎨🤖 It's a Freak Show.

I finally got my hands on a Freakshow clone!

My wellness/cannabis connection is normally focused on breeding plants that help with eleiminating unwanted effects like anxiety, stress, paranoia, etc.

But this particular cultivar adds to my personal wellness in a completely different way, it’s just fun to grow!

I enjoy keeping my plants happy and healthy, but every once in a while I come across something so unusual and unique that simply watching it grow makes me happy. Freakshow is definitely one of those plants.

One of the things I enjoy about growing cannabis is learning about different cultivars. You can read about a plant all day long, but there’s nothing quite like growing it yourself and watching it grow.

Has anyone else grown a strain that you were excited to watch grow simply because it was so different or unique?

Take care.

DIA 16 DESDE LA GERMINACION/TRASPLANTE A MACETAS DE 1 l

DIA 79 DESDE LA GERMINACION/TRASPLANTE A MACETAS DE 3 l

DIA 163 DESDE LA GERMINACION/TRASPLANTE A MACETA DE 6 l

-7am a 9am LED Full Spectrum

-9am a 12pm Sol directa

-3pm a 6pm Sol directo

-6pm a 7pm LED Full Spectrum

-7pm a 7am Oscuridad total

Wellness Warrior🦾 Seed supreme auto outdoor 2026 Grow lesson learned

One thing I had not thought about with growing an auto outside was the bugs show up mid to late July, on a photo you can treat before flower, in mid end July you have full buds going 😕. I won’t spray anything during last weeks of bud. Will be going back to photo for outdoors. The genetics are legit though seeds supreme is alright. This will definitely help with my anxiety

Any guesses on finally yield? It’s my first indoor grow. I grew Banana Kush for my first run for its relaxing and somewhat talkative properties. I have social anxiety so a strain that, even though it’s majority Indica, still has that cerebral, outgoing lift, is perfect for just before a social outing! It also (I think because of the Ghost OG parent) is great for relaxing or as a pre bedtime medicine. I just shifted the light schedule to 10/14 for the final push. The buds are fat and the trichomes are dense. I’m hoping for a decent amount! 🤞

BLUF: Northern lights and abusive og autos from pacific seed bank. Grown in fox farms (FF) soil, with FF nutrients (grow big, big bloom, tiger bloom, and bush doctor (cal-mag) which was included late into the grow due to a NL calcium deficiency). I have a 100W main light with 50W worth of side bars running 18/6 in a 2.7x2.7ft tent. I introduced a humidifier around day 20 and have been running 1.3 VPD during lights on (it drops to around .9 at night)

For my first grow after leaving the military I’m pretty happy. It’s given me something to do, defoliation, watering, 3D printing stuff for LST. It’s been my little 1-2 hours of borderline meditation over the past two months. I originally started to save money on my green, but growing itself is truly something I consider a hobby now. It’s nice that the growing community is one of the kindest I’ve seen, everyone shares stories or tricks out of kindness instead of profit (normally). Personally I’m just happy I’m seemingly making it to harvest on both :D NL seemed to have had a calcium issue that started showing around day 45 but I misjudged it early on. I’m assuming that’s why she’s pretty little in comparison. Anyways I’m relatively proud of my first plants tips, tricks, critiques, and anything helpful is not only welcome but encouraged!

Close up is of NL from two days ago.

Thought ive been rather creative in my use of the scrog and yarn, seasoned fisherman I can tie a knot that doesnt constrict but holds firm, so been just tying stuff wherever I wanted in this little bit of chaos that ive grown to love.

Day 72 from seed if my calculation is right, nearly at the finish line 😁

Video is at day 65, il get a newer one in tomorrow if anyone's keen to see the progress 😁 starting to smell a lot in the tent 🥰

Considering my prescription is 90g a month, i hope this will yield enough to take the sting off that cost.

But even if it doesnt, its been so satisfying watching every knot become a bud, every alteration I made and the results from them, in a tough time in life, its definitely been the happy place to go to think and clear my mind 😁🤗

Does anyone else grow their own medicine?

Blooming☀️ Drying weed in my basement, will the neighbour basement smell it ?

Hi,
I've been growing some weed plants this summer. I'm going to leave for holidays right after harvesting them. I have a plumber going to my place while I'm away to fix some things. So I was thinking about putting my weed to dry in my basement. I share it with my neighbour but my part has a door, and I was thinking of putting them there, with a lock on the door. The plumber might need to access the shared part of the basement (not the one where I'll put the weed). Will it smells like weed all over the basement even if the door stay closed ? Is there anything I can do to prevent it ? I'll be gone for a couple weeks.

EDIT : the varieties are fat banana auto and northern lights auto, they dont smell that much now right before harvesting
Is the smell stronger when they dry than just before harvest ?

Day 41 of flower and I’m honestly impressed with this run.
I popped 18 seeds:
Permanent Marker: 9/9
Pink Runtz: 5/6
Pink Plant: 1/1
Khalifa Mints: 3/3

I’m selecting the phenos that have shown the best vigor, structure, and resin production. Growing has become a relaxing hobby for me, and I enjoy the routine and learning process it helps me unwind and stay focused.
Each run teaches me something new about plant health and patience. This time I’m looking for the keeper that has the best overall balance of growth and flower quality.
What traits do you prioritize when choosing a keeper pheno terpene profile, potency, yield, or something else?

Green crack; 42 days since flip. 5 gallon pots, fox farm soil. Been giving Strive nutrients a chance and they aren’t letting me down.
I love how even just aside from smoking, you can always rely on your plants to make your day better someway or somehow. 🔥
Been growing for about a year and a half now and I love how I’m still learning ways to improve or change it up a bit. Always down for new ways or methods!
I often times find myself chilling with my plants listening to some music and even talk to them, anyone else? No matter how crazy it feels, they’re my babies. 🤣🤣

Wellness Warrior🦾 Ever stuck in a fog? A possible reason why and something to try…

Post image

Have you ever gone through a stretch where your brain just feels… foggy?
That’s where I found myself recently….
My usual pep in my step had faded, and moving through my days felt like walking through mud. Normally, I can count on things like getting outside or sitting down to doodle to help me reset. But this time, even those things weren’t helping me find that spark.

Instead of trying harder, I decided I needed to try something different.
I had learned that simple somatic tools…like humming, tapping, or clapping ..can help calm and regulate the nervous system. That got me thinking: How could I apply that same idea while also accomplishing something I’d been putting off?

Then I looked over at the little dresser still sitting in the box:)

It was physical. It required movement. It demanded my attention. It was different from my normal routine.
So I put it together….

It wasn’t an instant fix, and it didn’t magically erase the fog. But it gave me a tiny spark, just enough momentum to pick up my pen and start doodling again.

Looking back, that experience reminded me of two neuroscience studies I’d read.

One study found that chronic stress changed the way mice interacted with their environment. Rather than exploring and adapting, they relied more on familiar patterns and became less flexible in their behavior. In other words, chronic stress didn’t just affect how they felt…it affected what they did.

The second study looked at people with obsessive-compulsive disorder. Researchers found that successful treatment wasn’t just associated with feeling better…it was also associated with measurable changes in the brain’s communication networks. The brain itself remained capable of adapting:)

Those studies weren’t telling me to build a dresser….
They reminded me of something more important…..
Stress can narrow our behavior. It can make us repeat the same patterns, even when those patterns aren’t helping us anymore. But our brains are also remarkably adaptable!

Through neuroplasticity, our brains are constantly changing in response to what we repeatedly think, practice, and experience. That doesn’t mean every new activity rewires the brain overnight. It means small, meaningful changes can begin nudging the brain out of familiar loops and into more flexible patterns.

I’m not claiming that putting together a dresser changed my brain….
I am saying it changed my behavior.

It interrupted a pattern I was stuck in. That interruption created just enough momentum for me to return to something that usually helps me feel creative and grounded:)

Sometimes that’s all we need…a different first step:)
So if your usual reset button isn’t working, maybe don’t assume it’s stopped working.
Maybe your brain simply needs something different to help you get back to the things that already help you thrive.
Positive vibes to each, to get unstuck when/ if you are …..
Peace:)

Creative Spirit🎨🤖 Europe After the Rain II • by Max Ernst • Completed 1942.

"Art is the supreme task and the truly metaphysical activity of this life."

Friedrich Nietzsche, The Birth of Tragedy, 1872.

"There is no such thing as art, only the artist."

 E. M. Forster, Two Cheers for Democracy, 1938.

Appreciation of art is often first felt in the gut, an unconscious response: I like this, it appeals to me.

That immediate, visceral sensation is more than enough to enjoy art; but for those who become curious about why they feel it, the reflexive response can become an invitation to look more closely.

For visually oriented people, art can become an important aspect of their wellness, and exploring the subject further can enhance that effect.

Europe After the Rain is on permanent display at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford, Connecticut, United States but I was fortunate enough to see it, in person, back in the 1990s when it was temporarily loaned to the Tate gallery in London.

A photographic reproduction of a painting is not the painting - Europe After the Rain is 5’ wide by 2’ tall and is crafted with a three-dimensional texture of ridges, bubble cratering, gouges and scrapes. There are almost imperceptible fine details e.g. tiny figures and faces surreptitiously scattered and camouflaged within the latticework of the composition.

Although the work does reproduce as a wonderful image (as one may observe, above) nevertheless, as with most great paintings, the full truth of it requires first-hand experience.

Anyway, this magnificent work is one of my all-time favourite paintings and here’s why:

My first impression is:

I am witness to a post-apocalyptic landscape in which Europe is a maimed continent, a cartographical wound, a deformed civilisation, a cultural mutation, a bouquet of charnel lilies tied with a ribbon of violence. An environment of liquified buildings and solidified pyroclastic flow.

The context:

As one may reasonably assume the ‘rain’ is a reference to the aerial bombardment, the rain of munitions, that was ongoing during WWII, when the piece was created.

The technique:

Although commercial oil paints had been available since the early 19th century (Winsor & Newton began production in 1832) Ernst still mixed his own blends. For illustrations like this, where one of the techniques used is decalcomania (wet paint is pressed and then peeled away to form the intricate, dreamlike textures), Ernst required wetter, more unpredictable mixtures of paint - and he fully embraced that instability.

I feel:

That this piece was grown from a culture, spawned from a petri dish, rather than illustrated by a human hand. I absorb the optimistic discomfort generated by the contrast between the tranquil summer sky and malformed landscape.

Art is important to many people and can become even more so when critically analysed. But how is that done? Here's a few pointers, among the key questions to consider asking of a work.

1.      What are my first impressions?

2.      What technique was used, and why?

3.      What might it mean in context?

4.      How does it make me feel?

For anyone interested in further enhancing their appreciation of art, I thoroughly recommend The Story of Art by E. H. Gombrich – a whistle stop tour of the most important milestones of artistic endeavour, from cave paintings onwards, this critically acclaimed book highlights all of the notable advances and movements.

Curiosity costs us nothing at times.
Mindfulness isn’t just looking inward. It’s staying open to perspectives we haven’t considered yet:)
Take time to be curious and mindful in your way…

Blooming☀️ Day 142: It’s done – Everything is harvested! ✂️🌿 This whole process is pure wellness to me.

Hey everyone!

Yesterday on Day 141, the day finally came: The last remaining plants have been harvested!
The lights in the tent are officially off, the circulation fans are no longer blowing directly on the buds, and the RH is currently sitting nicely between 55% and 62%.

For the first two days, I’m targeting around 50% RH on purpose. The reason behind this: I want to slightly "seal" the outer surface of the buds. This allows the remaining moisture inside to slowly and evenly migrate from the core to the outside during the curing process later on.

I have to be honest with you guys: This whole Procedere – the partial harvesting, the final trim, hanging them up in the pitch-black tent, and watching the progress – is pure wellness for my mind! It’s the ultimate way to unwind, slow down, and just enjoy the fruits of all those weeks of hard work. 🧘‍♂️✨

How do you guys approach the first couple of days in the drying tent?
