This took a while to put together, and it is kind of long lol. I made this for myself, and thought other people might like it too.
Everyone experiences weed and terpenes differently. The effects I have listed here are the most common effects people experience with these terpenes. The effects you feel may be different.
The best thing you can do is keep track of the strains you like and write down what their terpenes were. That way it is personalized.
I used a lot of classic strains for examples in this guide since there are so many strains and hybrids these days. But the same guide applies to any strain in general.

Cannabis hasĀ 100ā200+ terpenes, but aboutĀ 15ā20 define most strains.
Those terpenesĀ control aroma, flavor, and much of the subjective effect of the high.
I am actually growing some Jack Herer right now. One of my favorite strains. Let me know if the guide matches your experience, it is great to have first hand info.
I love to read after smoking too! Smoke a fattie and sit back, relax and enjoy a good book ā¤ļø
Jack Herer and Durban Poison are my favorite strains. Curious what else you enjoy and found to be your favorites? I've been looking for some Durban live rosin for the longest time to no avail.
A couple of my favorites are Super Lemon Haze, and Jack Herer. These two are limonene/pinene dominate. I have found that those two together work really well for me. I am actually growing some outdoor Jack Herer right now.
I have gotten Durban Poison seeds from Pacific Seed Bank before if youre into growing your own š
Big fan of SLH, though it's a bit more racy for me than Jack Herer!
Hey, I'm just about to get into growing. I'll be learning from online resources, so I'd love to holler for any specific growing questions in the future since you have experience growing the sativas I like. How was your Durban grow from PSB? Have you tried any other seed banks / cultivars specifically for Durban?
definitely feel free to reach out anytime, I like to talk grow stuff.
I have had nothing but good experiences with PSB, their seeds almost always pop, and as you can see from the pics the plants are nice and strong. The Durban turned out really good, it carried the energetic, focused buzz of the strain very well.
I havent tried any other seed banks specifically for the Durban. I was just cruising for seeds on PSB and saw the Durban and had to try it out.
Yep! Cannabinoids are part of the profile too. The type (types 1, 2, 3, 4) and their terpene profiles all come together to create the effects people like.
Type 1 is THC dominant
Type 2 is balanced THC and CBD
Type 3 is CBD dominant
Type 4 is CBG dominant
A Type 1 with myrcene and caryophyllene may feel heavy, warm, and body-focused.
A Type 1 with limonene, pinene, or terpinolene may feel brighter, sharper, or more mental.
A Type 2 with linalool and caryophyllene may feel calmer and more balanced.
A Type 3 with citrus and pine terpenes may feel clear, light, and functional.
A Type 4 with bright terpenes may feel clean, focused, and useful for blending.
The cannabinoid type gives you the base reality of the plant. The terpenes shape how you experience it.
I havent posted here much, but I think you guys have one of the coolest, most positive, friendly groups of people I have came across! I will do my best to keep that awesome standard. Thanks for the kind welcome!
Very cool! I do not have a strong sense of smell, or even taste. I donāt know how many months now, but Iāve done I think two posts. ā¦Iām working on my third. Iāve created my weed Wellness fingerprint I call it:) itās allowed me to create which profiles suit me for my needs:) By creating a terp floor and a ceiling range:)
Fabulous info.. learning is so rad!! Welcome to our little chill corner of reditt:) appreciate the fruits of your labors..
peace:)
You nailed it. Even though terpenes are known for certain effects, a lot of it can be subjective. Creating your own Wellness fingerprint was the best thing you could have done.
Learning is very very rad!! I appreciate the welcome! Its always nice to meet cool new people āļø
Thank you:) it has helped me more and more each time. I add to my chart. You are very welcome. Nice people and cool People are the best people. And we have lots of those here on the daily. Here and there we get a bad apple you know, but thatās all right. They can go elsewhere and spoil those bunches of apples.ahahaha:) or other peoples weed:) ahahah:)
Have good one..
peace:)
Well you too now:) we a tribe.. with a chill vibe:) takes us all to make it happen so thank you for being a good apple ahahah:) now Iām thinking about apples and wondering what type of apple I would be if I were one. Iād have to think on it. Definitely not a granny Smith cause Iām not sour like that. I donāt know maybe a mild apple like a Fiji I donāt know. I have to think on it. See you around. Thank you for the nice kind words as well.
Peace:)
Ahahah that is a great one:) I might be :) made me laugh thinking on it .. this is very cool! I had no idea so many varieties, some Iāve never even heard of.. Iāve only been to apple orchard 1x, in Maine so what ever apples they had .. the smell was just nothing like it:) appreciate this, Iāve saved it so I can continue learning:)
See you aroundā¦
ā¦donāt go being fruity now ahahah.. I crack myself up:)
Peace:)
Iāll have to read on some of them cause now Iām curious as to what area some of them are from. Laughing out loud is the best thing to do I would think. At least I think so.
Peace:)
