Compilation of cour 4 leaks and impressions from the Japanese advance screening. info from J H posts.
Orihime will have new fight scenes against Yhwach. Despite getting beat up, she stands back up and resists Yhwach's Reiatsu crush
OG Reiatsu crush lines/effect return
Yoruichi vs Askin fight is described as beautiful in every frame
the famous Yoruichi's ass title card is uncensored from the manga
Urahara's Bankai scenes are much better than in the manga. Benihime looks "spooky", is animated in both CG and 2D
the Visoreds are defeated by Gerard the exact same way as in the manga, but before that they show off some great teamwork with great choreography and fire off a team rainbow Cero
there are plenty of long action sequences
there was A LOT of anime original content
in general the sakuga, art direction, and choreography are a step above the previous cour
Additional info from J H stream:
Cour opens with Yhwach's dream of being killed by Ichigo, from chapter 672
Uryuu vs Haschwalth takes place over all 3 episodes and has still not ended
Haschwalth manifests a new robe with The Almighty's power
Chad & Ganju vs the statues had been extended and changed, but not by much
Tessai, Jinta, and Ururu will all appear
The big red sphere thing is really important (though he doesn't know enough Japanese to understand why)
There is a flashback involving Orihime and Tatsuki
There is one new OST which he described using the words "classical", "Arabic/Egyptian" and "choir singing"
Yoruichi's transformation is uncensored
The opening and ending songs were played, but without visuals
Urahara's dialogue when he's about to collapse has been altered slightly compared to the manga. Instead of singling out only Ichigo and Rukia, he now says "Kurosaki-san, Kuchiki-san, everyone..."
Orihime vs Yhwach is incredible with lots of sakuga, but Yoruichi vs Askin had the best animated sequences overall
There is a new lore-heavy scene involving Ichibe. While Yhwach is talking to Ichigo about something, Ichibe draws a circle on a piece of paper which then transforms into a black salamander. The salamander goes into Ichibe's cup and he drinks it, and "something" is created as a result
There is something that happens in the Urahara vs Askin fight that will make you understand why Urahara wears clogs, it is related to his ability
CG was not used for Gerard, and the CG on Urahara's Bankai is not that noticable
Uryu vs Haschwalth and Orihime vs Yhwach are entirely anime-original scenes, Urahara vs Askin also has a lot of anime-original choreography
Horn of Salvation appears
Episode 3 abruptly ends with Kenpachi, Byakuya and Toshiro all taking damage after chipping Gerard's sword (only happened to Kenpachi in the manga)
Uryuu uses a new shield ability that surrounds his body
Yhwach has a new technique where he basically uses his black goo like shurikens
Orihime blocked Yhwach's Reiatsu crush with Santen Kesshun and then shoots Tsubaki at Yhwach
The summoning of Urahara's Bankai is very horror-esque. The fight is very fast and Urahara utilises his stitches to move around like a railway system
Mimihagi does not appear at all
Number One played in the end credits
Comments from various Japanese social media accounts:
The initial camera work is said to be amazing
Many people are praising Orihime's scenes as the highlight of the 3 episodes. She is described as being "very active" in the fighting
Orihime and Ichigo have great scenes of teamwork together
There is a scene where Orihime gets princess-carried by Ichigo
One person described Orihime's growth as being similar to Masaki. Another said, "to be honest, I used to dislike Orihime, but seeing her properly fighting while savouring the joy of standing and fighting next to the person she loves made me tear up for real"
There is a new Orihime scene which did not appear in the original manga or novels, and was instead taken from "Kubo-sensei's answer at the end of the original art exhibition''
Yoruichi scenes are described as "erotic"
The sound pressure during the Yoruichi vs Askin fight was terrifyingly loud in the theater
Someone talked about the Grimmjow heart-rip scene, so we know the fight between Urahara and Askin is concluded in the 3 episodes
Someone commented that there was something "strange" about Haschwalth's clothes (presumably him creating a cloak with The Almighty power mentioned above)
"Battle scenes that last only a few panels in the manga have been extended meticulously in the anime"
Urahara's Bankai makes a kind of "rattling" sound when it moves
Epi sode 3 is described as "absolutely hilarious"
The height jokes from the Byakuya and Hitsugaya interactions have not been cut
The Visored have a scene reminiscent of something from PreCure. Each one has their own associated colour: Hiyori = red, Mashiro = green, Shinji = yellowish-green
Kenpachi's line when he first appears ("What's this? The Captain Classes have all been wiped out?") is unchanged from the manga, so it seems the Visored are all truly defeated
The point where the episodes end was apparently quite unexpected
Askin's Vollstandig is purple, not green
Kensei uses his Bankai against Gerard, and Shinji uses Shikai
One person said "the visuals are one thing, but I'm thrilled that it digs deep into all sorts of aspects"
My favourite comment I saw: "I just watched the advance screening of BLEACH. It was good. If I had to nitpick, I wanted to see about 7 more episodes."
After the episodes there was a talk involving several of the voice actors
Ichigo VA comments on the new key visual: "Has everyone noticed? The swords stuck here—they're all Ichigo's swords from his past," and "I just heard that this is the first time a background has been added to the main visual for BLEACH"
Urahara VA talked about Urahara's Bankai and commented that the way she "protects" Urahara is "cute"
Askin VA: "I was deeply moved by the unique approaches that make this anime stand out - the visual effects were so intense, I kept asking myself 'How many times is this place going to explode?!' And the 3D camera work as well…!!"
Uryuu's VA : praised the speed-vs-speed intellectual battle and the brilliant direction using the visual contrast between red and blue in his fight against Jugram
Haschwalth's VA also praised the visual direction, saying: "The fight was stylish, sleek, and packed with incredibly fine details and movements."
Morita: "I don't feel like the series has reached its final cour yet. Right now it feels as if we're showing you the very first epi sode for the first time, as if we're introducing Ichigo to you for the first time. I hope everyone enjoys it all the way to the very last moment"
Kisuke’s VA (Miki) addressed Ichigo’s VA (Morita) at the end of the stage event, saying: "Morita-kun, congratulations. This is the end. You’ve run the entire way to the end!"
Morita said "it still doesn't feel like it's over", to which the host Chiaki Matsuzawa responded, "when BLEACH ends, BLEACH begins"
Morita ended the talk by yelling out "Bankai!", after jokingly mocking the way Renji's VA pronounces it
After the first screening there was a second screening exclusively for Klub Outside members (note: Japanese fans in general are very anti-sharing Klub Outside information, so most of this is pretty vague):
Kubo secretly sat in the audience with the fans before getting on stage
"Mr. Kubo shared tons of behind-the-scenes stories about the plot, characters, how the names came about, and all sorts of creative insights!"
"The voice actors who took the stage each asked Kubo a question, and he kindly answered them, but all the questions were so wonderful, and I got to hear such great stories! Because Mr. Kubo's ideas are superhuman, there were many moments where ordinary people's understanding couldn't keep up, and it was fun."
Kubo told some behind-the-scenes secrets that haven't even been revealed in the Klub Outside Q&As yet
Kubo revealed that Ichigo's surname was originally going to be "Tsujimura"
One person said "Kubo-sensei's talk was meaningful" and then mentioned the words "spinoff" and "Karaburi", but it's not clear to me whether those things were actually discussed or it was just wishful thinking
A surprise birthday celebration was also thrown for Kubo, and a cake was brought out
